Trump should not capitulate too early and it must be after certainty. Furthermore, Vietnam is nothing but a transnational location for Chinas exports and that is why they are responding this quickly, they see the cash cow of China in peril.

Really what corporations are in Vietnam that would come remotely close to replacing the China-made products they ship into the U.S? He should advise that he needs to see action before removing tariffs. Without concrete action and results, he is hurting the U.S.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Trump doesn't have to worry about re-election. If he succeeds it will set up his legacy and the person who follows to also run on the same policies.

The Golden Era can only arrive if he stays the course, at least for a year would be the approach I take if I am him.
