Is there any fairly nice and quite places to live for up to 500,000 tops

Boulder City looks expensive

I don’t know

Rent is insane here

There has to be some area within 30 min -40 of the strip
That is nice and quite

It's Vegas bro. A destination. My guess would be homes for the workers (less than appealing) and homes for the tax base (money)

You could take your knowledge and move to a less expensive area and live very comfortably.

I took a job in Washington DC several decades ago and moved temporarily to Dale City Virginia. RETARDED EXPENSIVE compared to the Midwest for the same accommodations.

So many house flippers driving up prices to ridiculous levels there aren't many places left where housing truly represents local economics. Wait until the current bubbles pop; they always do.

With all respect.....IMO why would you live in Vegas? with all the wonderful nature that US has to offer?.....mountains lakes rivers sea.....forests woods.....snow .....I mean.....everything beautiful!

For me it's a real puzzle to understand people who prefer to live in a concrete jungle.

But then.....I understand we all have our tastes....or may be obligations and all that....that force us to live in certain habitats.

But still....I would prefer to live in a little wooden cottage in the wilderness or the snow, I would be so happy there!

I could get into hiking in the desert.

What about Vegas bay? Is that Lake Mead? I could live on that. What’s it like?

I don't like desert, don't like that kind of environment . :dunno:
You need plenty of water and I would need to know how and where to find water. But I’m thinking less bugs? And at night it gets cold.

I would like the desert but I’d have to be properly supplied. People die.

I hate the cold.

I love the cold.

Vegas is a very unhappy place. I thought about moving there once and investigated the place. When I was looking Boulder city was reasonable.

Ronny the limo driver just retired and moved to Vegas. He likes it. Sounds horrible to me. And it’s not th hot season now. 120 degrees?

There is no better feeling than warming up after being cold.

So youd go to Alaska and live in the woods with just firewood for a week? I would but I’d need all the right gear.

I would definitely go to Alaska and live in a cottage there... fireplace etc.... but a week is not enough ...I might live for a lifetime if I see it suits me, and my needs, and my pets needs.

Vegas is going to be impossible to find a decent place

Phoenix is nicer but very boring

You live in a lovely place, for sure.

When I said concrete jungle I wasn't referring to places like yours.....what I had in mind is places where the big gambling casinos are, the huge hotels, the tourists, the noise, the traffic, the neon lights.

That's what I basically had in mind, not places like yours :)
