Vatican gives conditional approval to blessings for same-sex couples

Ruling approved by Pope Francis marks a significant step forward by the Catholic church

Isnt this excellent xmas news.

As discussed on these boards the church moves to stay relevant in the lives of all of us. The Anglican Church moved this week to do the same.

Pretty soon it will only be a few backward cults that still have a problem.

Christianity is beset by haters who twist the word of christ in order to spread their hate. But now the good guys are winning,

Do the churches really stand for anything then?

I'm not saying I disagree with what they are doing. I don't really care because it's all fiction anyway, but if these tenets of Christianity are supposedly the word of God how can it simply change with the times?
