Vance say WW2 ended with negotiations

We give Ukraine every weapon it needs to totally destroy the Russian military. And we and Europe impose destructive sanctions on Russia until their economy is in ruins. And if they bring in North Korean troops again, and put them in Ukraine, we put an equal number of US Marines opposite them. Fair is fair.
~~~~~~
Untrue, the majority of weapons sent to the Ukraine have been defense.
Trump is proposing a more aggressive system of weaponry allowing the Ukraine force to hit deeper Russian military targets.
He;s right.
Our Ambassador, Joe Kennedy was publicly siding with the appeasers and calling for Britain to make a deal with Hitler. Lend Lease, the draft, we’re all just being passed (barely) by Congress.
~~~~~~
Yes, Joe Kennedy was briefly Ambassador to the U.K. and was sympathetic to Nazi views. FDR forced him to resign.
AI says:
Joseph P. Kennedy, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1938 to 1940, is often described as having expressed pro-German sentiments and anti-Semitic views, including a belief in a Jewish conspiracy influencing U.S. policy. His controversial remarks and actions during his ambassadorship led to significant criticism and ultimately his resignation.

Germany surrendered unconditionally. There were concessions granted to Japan.
To my knowledge, Germany surrendered unconditionally. VE day marks their unconditional surrender in May 1945.

Japan were given the Potsdam declaration, to unconditionally surrender and allied forces would occupy Japan. The Japanese were divided on this, so the US dropped two atomic bombs, then Emperor Hirohito’s intervention led to Japan’s unconditional surrender. VJ day marks Japan's unconditional surrender in August 1945, and signed off in September.

To keep their Emperor was the Japanese "condition" that the US did not agree to. When Japan insisted the US ate crow and gave in. You say "allowed" as though it was a gracious kindness given by the US and that is a lie. The US told Japan that keeping their Emperor was not an unconditional part of the surrender. So, don't try to bull shit your way out of it.

Lol!
You're the one who first used "allowed" that's why my reply was a quote of the word.

The Japanese did not know we only had one more atomic bomb near-ready (around Aug 19th) and the next one would not be ready until September. They feared we may have had hundreds, and that many cities including Tokyo were next. The emperor pushed the cabinet to accept the surrender.

He wasn't pushed out, but we did indeed 'ALLOW' him to stay, as MacArthur felt he would be needed to help him lead the nation through the next several years.

The Japanese got their asses handed to them, and it could have been much worse had they continued down the path of fighting to the last man. Luckily they swallowed their absurdly ridiculous pride, and ate it.

I doubt it.
The Japanese did not know we only had one more atomic bomb near-ready .
Could be true, it probably was true. But it didn't matter. The Japanese were willing to fight in the face of death.
we did indeed 'ALLOW' him to stay,
The Japanese INSISTED. It was the condition the US forbade so "allow" is pretty much a lie.
it could have been much worse had they continued down the path of fighting to the last man.
Golly! Such insight! :oops: What is your point?
Luckily they swallowed their absurdly ridiculous pride, and ate it.
No, they didn't. You did. The US said it must be an unconditonal surrender but Japan said "**** you, we have stipulated our condition. Either you swallow your absurdly ridiculous pride and eat it or we fight". The US backed down while Japan stood its ground. This is all on record. You don't know that?

What a silly spin you offer. Yes, we wanted the surrender to be “unconditional.” And yes, we did grant the Japanese to save a bit of face by agreeing to allow the “Emperor” to stay there as a titular head of state.

Big fuckin’ deal. Our largesse still amounts to demanding and getting an unconditional surrender. You’re really pretty silly on this particular pointless of yours. In fact, quite laughable of you.

Lol! What do you mean "you doubt it"?!

You said: 1). Japan declared they would fight on if not allowed to keep the Emperor. Post #54.

Germany was allowed a very minimal army in the Treaty of Versailles. Japan was allowed to keep their Emperor in the Potsdam Declaration.

Yes both countries were brought to unconditional surrender. But there definitely were negotiations contained within that process and the documents of peace signed by those countries and the Allies.

Wow...more intellectual dishonesty from you.... how very shocking.

You seem to have forgotten the two atomic devices we used to bring Japan to the negotiating table and force them to be serious about accepting our terms.

Any agreement made through weakness--as Trump’s surrender to the Taliban has shown--is one that isn’t in our best interest. They will soon (if they are not already) become yet again a safe haven for trafficking underage sex workers, terrorists, the drug trade, etc... All courtesy of your blob.

Do you not know what the word "doubt" means?

All accounts agree with that so what is your problem? Is there something you don't understand?

I pointed out to you, that you were the first one to use to use the word "allow".
You then replied "I doubt it".
I then pointed out that you did indeed use the word.

What is it you that you do not understand?

Here's a few pictures of Madison Square Garden in 1939, this is the same time the British were organizing the RAF and seeking ways to mass produce Spitfires. Many of the descendants of the people in these photographs grew up to become loyal members of the modern magat party.

Look, there were even 100,000 woke liberal agitators scuffling with police outside, some things just never change do they.

Vance is no smarter than the President he serves. The only choice that Japan and Germany were given was unconditional surrender.
See: The Emperor remains in place
The only choice that Russia should be given is to get all their soldiers out of Ukraine, and pay damages for their unjust war.
Or... what?
If they decide to keep the land they've taken, only US/NATO troops can remove them -- and we aren't sending troops.
What do you do if you give Putin your ultimatum and he tells you to sod off?

‘… feel that you are entitled to dictate to other countries how they can act. You’ll use the lives of other people for your insane wars. “

And yet you are a consistant, loud supporter of granting Putin’s demands and caving in to Moscow. Which, as Putin;s stooge, Trump also wants.

Donald Trump has twice tried to play Neville Chamberlain, and give Ukraine away, without their consent. So, what was that about “dictating to other countries?”

The rest is empty prattle and silly right wing labels.
Wow, look who is White Knighting for Old Cucks.

He can’t answer my questions or address my points, neither can you.

All you have is name calling, I’m a “Putin stooge” for not buying into your idiotic line of thought of wanting to keep this war going no matter what the cost. All while behind the safety of your keyboard.

You keyboard warriors are something else. You’re so “tough” on Putin, willing to force conscript Ukrainian teens to fight over land that has historically belonged to Russia for hundreds of years.

Just admit it, you want the ethnic cleansing of Russians in that region. Which is exactly what Kiev started doing back in 2014 when this war actually started. You fully supported Kiev dropping bombs on ethnic Russians in the Donbas region prior to the Russian “invasion”.

History has shown that Russia will always defend ethnic Slavs (see why they entered WWI). Of course that is actually what the warmongers in Washington wanted, to draw Russia into the conflict. It’s amazing the neocon warmongers have the full support of Democrats and progressives now.

History still speaks of the Holodomor of the Ukraine in the 1930's. Was that Russia protecting Slavs?

Every time this bag of shit opens his mouth, elementary school teachers cringe. Historians vomit in their mouths.

Vance was right. Watch how it happened.
