You are entitled to your opinion, but I don't see you changing anyone's mind that Vance is the VP and heir apparent unless he screws up big time. History says you are wrong.
Eisenhower's VP was Nixon, who became President. Kennedy's VP was Johnson, who became President, Johnson's VP was Humphrey who ran and lost. Nixon's VP's never ran because Ford replaced him. Ford's VP was Dole, and he ran and lost. Carter's VP was Mondale and he ran and lost epically. Reagan's VP was GHWB and he was President Clinton's VP was Gore, and he ran and lost in 2000. Obama's VP was Brandon and he stole the election in 2020. Brandon's VP was Harris. Did she win when appointed as the nominee? All other VPs in recent years have not even bothered to run or never made it past the primaries, like Pence.

DeSantis will likely replace Rubio as SoS when he becomes VP.

I'm a fan of Mike Pompeo. Trump is not a fan. With his resume' I'd think he would be a good SecWar, or DHS, or CIA (again).

You are correct. But "big picture" I'd like to see Rubio as "governor" of Cuba to get that country "assimilated".

Christie had stomach bypass surgery a few years ago and it failed bigtime. With Pompeo I hope your assumption is correct.
