If the picture in the Op is one of the actual robots. I find it interesting that the eyes look Europian, not oriental.
 
Why would the Chinese military bother to spend time and money on machines when their doctrine is essentially Soviet; i. e., mass onslaught with no regard for losses.

To there4eyem: Worse than the Soviets. Chicoms are the model for population controls that Democrats love so much.
 
China doesn't need an expensive robotic Army. I read an article awhile back that claimed that their reserve forces was some where around 200 million. Unless an opposing military is willing to drop nukes the Chinese could send those numbers into combat with sticks and still overwhelm their enemies.
