Especially, if you count the fact that the women have won 2 world cups so far whereas the men haven't won one yet. So, the next time, women win the men get a cut too.

They actually compete with a few other teams. The rest are not competitive. Most nations have had no women's teams over the decades. So, in reality if there are say 32 women team in a tournament, U.S. soccer women compete with a few others at most. U.S. men compete with nations that have supported programs massively. Where that sport is like life and death. Especially in Central America, South America and Europe. A tough nut to crack.

In real terms, Men who play softball in competitive neighborhood leagues after playing baseball in their school years are more athletic than the U.S. women's soccer teams. these women fell into shit. and swim around it and became important.

After high school the realities of earning a living sets in. And they are different sports. But the men are better athletes. And they compete with better athletes. The soccer players running those miles is good getting into shape exercise which I approve of. I am not soccer player. Neither are women in many of those nations who play soccer where men play soccer in a national sport to a high degree professionally. The U.S. women beat the women from the same rather easily because it is not as important.
