For decades, China has been establishing expansionary ligatures around the globe into South America, Central America, North America, Europe and beyond challenging and encroaching upon both our economic stability as well as our industrial base as well as our military position around the planet in a system of soft war laid out thousands of years ago by Sun Tzu, and it has first been grossly ignored like a boogeyman which might go away if you are nice to it for ages by gutless politicians, until now it threatens to really become an abject danger to us, and Trump is just pushing back now, cutting off and destroying some of these attempts.

Ok. I can see some logic here. But it seems stupid to believe that China (and Russia) will just alleviate and allow America do whatever they want. I mean, there were reasons why America gave China all those industrial capabilities and global markets (it was Vietnam war, among other things) and why England and France gave their markets to America before it (mostly it was WWII).
And now, I don't see America's readiness even to Vietnam-scale conflict. As far as I can understand, first of all, you need to solve your inner problems (and you have a lot of them). Starting a war abroad when you have that many problems at home, it seems like a direct way to a Revolution and/or Civil War.
