May 2012:

Overturning Roe v Wade would not have any effect on the number of abortions. All this rhetorical bomb throwing has no effect, either.

I pointed this out at least a hundred times in the intervening years.

July 2022:

As I have been saying for many years, overturning Roe v. Wade will have little impact on the number of abortions.

And now the post-Roe world we live in bears me out.

Sadly, I do not expect the so-called pro-life movement to snap out of their delusions and start advocating the methods which would actually reduce the number of abortions dramatically.

They have chosen instead to be total dicks about the whole thing which tells me its about the cruelty and not about human life.

Glad to see you admit that everyone on the left over-reacted to the Dobbs decision. Abortion is no longer an issue is the election then.

And sadly those who are the most vulnerable still have no one to look after them.
It would be revealing if we knew where most of these abortions came from. Within states and cities where they came from. Within all of these areas if a small percentage of women are having a higher percentage of the abortions.

I have no idea how that addresses the issue I noted.

Ya know what else rose?

Infant mortality

Bbbbut just slightly down? I thought evil SCOTUS banned abortion?

Nope, still going to be a big issue.

So what have you gained with Dobbs then because it deems like you have lost a lot.
Not sure what you're asking but decent folk stand up against the murder of those who can't fight for themselves, whether it is politically popular or not.

The op pointed out that 'standing up against the murder of those who can't fight for themselves' has managed to INCREASE the number of innocents that have been murdered.

You used that to say it should not matter politically. I pointed out it still does, republicans have lost support over dobbs.

I asked what you have gained. It is not fewer dead innocents, that has increased. It is not political influence or the ability to use such influence to protect innocents. You have lost some of that.

So what have you gained? Looks like nothing.

As always...

So what? Mind your business.

They’ve certainly energized women voters

LOL. So, you're solution is to just accept murders?

It would tell us the pinpoint locations where the abortions come from and how many different women get them. If a woman has ten abortions and a few children from different fathers, what do we really owe them? There is a difference in being your rothers keeper and a slave to someone else's irresponsible ways who does not change.
