Not to trivialize your concerns but, honestly, you can raise the same objections about ANY farm-raised product. From Beef to Chickens, from Brussels Sprouts to Cabbage, any of it can be raised in a manner inconsistent with food safety.

Farming is a serious business and the few charlatans in it need to be exposed and run out of town. AgriBusiness is here to stay. Good, bad or indifferent, it isn't going away. We need to learn to deal with it.

If I were going to be concerned about agriculture, my first thoughts would turn to the Millions of Tons of Round Up sprayed all over our soil every year and the Genetically Modified Seeds needed to plant over it.
