Universal healthcare bill fails to pass in California

Dems: Vote for us we promise universal healthcare

Dems: They fell for it again :auiqs.jpg:

There is no doubt about it, universal health care cost less than half as much and in general is better quality.
The 3 party payer system with health insurance companies is the single worst possible system.
Would any one in their right mind ever prepay any service?

You poor, ironic, sad little rube.

Obama never promised UHC. He achieved what he promised.

Republicans: Vote for us and we will repeal and replace Obamacare.

Trump: My replacement for Obamacare is beautiful.

You tards have STILL not caught on you were thoroughly hoaxed.

And now Obamacare is immortal. Untouchable. And we are that much closer to UHC.

Thanks to pro-UHC Trump.

^^^ this one is triggered. What's the matter left winger mad that you didn't get your universal healthcare paid for by someone else? Denied the opportunity to mooch off others?

Wrong.
The point of universal health care is that everyone stops paying twice as much for private health insurance.
And the private health insurance is no good anyway, if you lose your job, move out of state, etc.
So we would be spending less than half as much if we went with public health care that did not charge.
The current private health insurance we would be saving, are more than twice the additional tax burden we would have to increase.

If getting the fucking government bureaucrats to manage health care is going to be so damn cheap then why in the hell is the stupid program in California going to cost more than the existing cost of state government? The initiative failed because it was going to greatly increase taxes.

The rich will get their private health care and the Illegals and welfare queens won't have to pay jackshit and the middle class will get cost for the enormous bill.

This stupid idea you idiot Socialist have that the government can do something cheaper than private enterprise is always laughable.

You dumbasses don't know any more about Economics than you know about History, Biology, Climate Science, Ethics or the Constitution.

The US has less waiting for health care than when it is free like in Canada, but in general more people go to Canada from the US for health care, than go from Canada to the US.
Your particular experience could be due to the US side having an urban center and there being no close by Canadian urban certer.
I would need more details in order to know.

LOL

Like I said, I am against UHC. If you don't believe me, I can point you to posts I've made going back a decade.

Nevertheless, Lyin' Donald LOOOOOOVES universal health care and he did everything he could to preserve Obamacare and ensure UHC is inevitable.

You dipshits let him lie right to your faces and you never once held him accountable for it. Instead, the tard herd lines up to suckle his balls.
Do you really think it was intentional though?

I am more inclined to think that he just flat out could not be bothered with actually doing anything that was not stroking his ego. Trump promised a lot of shit and continually failed to bother to actually do anything past what he could get from blathering about it on TV.

You know, I am not fan of UHC but every time I hear this line I am reminded that I have waited over 12 months to get an oncology appointment for my son, 4 months to see his endocrinologist and 3 months to see his dermatologist. For some reason pulmonology and cardiology are the only appointments we can make without more than a months wait time.

IOW, the tired old line of long wait times for appointments is utter bullshit. We get long wait times here too.

He did?

We are saving $2,500 a year on our healthcare costs? Maybe if you are working at Walmarts stocking shelves. Other than that everybody else with real income is paying more.

Cheaper healthcare plans that are quality and no ridiculous out of pocket or copay expenses? Have you ever looked at any of their plans? I don't call $7,000 deductible and $7,000 out of pocket reasonable.

If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor? Only if you pay for your doctor yourself. I can't get any healthcare plan for my provider, the world famous Cleveland Clinic. If you can, by all means, let me know and I'll sign up.

If you like your hospital you can keep your hospital? Same as above.

Universal health care bill fails to pass in California

A bill that would have created the nation's only universal health care system has failed to pass the California Legislature

In a way I wanted to see it pass just to watch it implode. Just as well I guess as I bet when it went tits-up we would be bailing CA out.
:laughing0301:
Fuck off, commies.

Of course when there is free public health care, it is paid for through taxes, but it still is VERY cheap compared to private health insurance.
And no, non-citizens get free health care in those nations as well.
You are totally wrong, and I not only have relatives in other nations, but are on contact with lots of people around the world.

The US not only has very poor health care, but it costs everyone mover twice as much as those in any other country pay for health care, regardless if individual or through taxes.
The US health care system then is about the worst in the world.

I'm a patient at the Cleveland Clinic. When you go to their downtown campus which is several blocks long, you're the one who feels like a foreigner.

People come here from all around the world to get the quality of healthcare only the US provides. This is especially true of royalty with their socialized medicine. In fact I've been told by family that works there these very wealthy VIP's will pay for an entire hospital floor for security reasons. The elevators won't even stop there unless you have a pass key.

You wanted to see something that is better implode? Why?

You like being screwed over by insurance companies, hospitals, doctors and the whole medical profession?

15% of what you pay goes to insurance companies to do something that isn't even necessary.

Corruption make up like 30% of what you pay.

Literally the US federal govt spends MORE of healthcare than the UK government does for its NHS. And for that you get to buy health insurance on top of already paying for healthcare.

No, the point of UH is for politicians to have more control over the people.

The government has been trying to get more and more control over the people for many years. They've been quite successful so far. The only two vestiges left for total control is healthcare and energy. Once government has total control over those two things, they will have total control over the people.

So government makes healthcare almost unaffordable. They are trying to scare people to death by stating we are destroying our climate and they need to take over fuel.

You see government just can't summon the military and takeover these entities. Under our Constitution and government, they must convince people to beg them to takeover health and energy.

That's the real plan here with Democrats.

In my area we very seldom have to wait more than a week to get an appointment. It all has to do with the availability of doctors. UH sure as hell ain't gonna fix that and will probably make it worse.

Remember also that Obamacare put a big burden on doctors and caused a lot of them to leave the business. UH would be even worse.

A few years I developed a cancer. Since I am a veteran I could have got it treated for free from the VA. However, it would have been a long bureaucratic process, typical of the government.

Instead I decided to pay the deductibles and co payments and get it treated right away. There were three excellent facilities in my area that wanted my business. It cost me a few thousand but I got great treatment almost immediately. The cancer is cured now. Had I waited for the damn VA it would have taken a very long time and I have no idea the level of treatment I would have got. I probably would be dead now.

Health care is too important to be put into the hands of the government, that usually fucks up everything it touches.

I trust private enterprise to give me the best treatment at the lowest possible price much more than I trust some government bureaucrat that doesn't give a damn about me and whose boss is a politician elected by special interest groups.
