Well, I did it. I called them (the admissions dept). It was easy. Just call them up and listen. This is one of the troubles with conservatives though. Sometimes, we just talk to each other too much, and the rest of society doesn't hear us.
OK. So I talked to one of the honchos in the Univ. of Missouri admissions dept. and asked him about affirmative action, and any racial preferential admissions. Answer I got was (from my perspective), YES, they do discriminate in favor of minorities. This occurs in their "Infinite Scholars" program in which they engage in a diversity-based outreach to minorities (which gives advantage to minorities & thereby disadvantage to Whites) To be fair to them, they also do outreach without any racial diversity emphasis, but the racial diversity outreach still is there (whether one calls it affirmative action or not).
Note: this has only to do with admissions, not financial aid or employment. I did also call the numbers in Post # 77, but couldn't get anyone on the phone to talk.
Bottom line - the university is apologizing, enacting mandatory sensitivity classes, teachers walking out, etc..all over being offended by racism against Blacks, all at the same time that Blacks are getting preference in admissions (at the expense of Whites), and nobody is saying a word about it, that I know of (other than in this thread).
(And we haven't even explored into the employment and financial aid yet)
