That's a convenient take when you dismiss the existence of a global pandemic, how social media affected it and the subsequent lockdowns that ensued. The anonymous nature of cyber bullying is what makes it popular. Many victims end up taking their own lives, which aren't reflected in crime statistics.

Well, not to split hairs, but 49.9% isn't a majority. Regardless, even if it was 50.1%, a majority vote should never justify forcing the minority to concede their rights. And, sadly, that's what we've come to in US politics.

Obama ignobly characterized your viewpoint as "elections have consequences", and I reject that passionately. A majority vote should never mean that the winner has license to run roughshod over the convictions of the minority. Democrats used Obama's electoral victory to justify forcing through massive changes to health insurance practices - essentially a gift to the insurance industry - with a pure party-line vote. Half the nation (arguably more depending on the polls in question) opposed the changes. It was wrong. It violated the spirit, and the letter, of the Constitution, regardless of Justice Roberts' authorization.

If Republicans use their electoral victory similarly, to force wide scale changes on society when half the nation opposes such changes, they will be equally wrong. Trump Republicans have adopted the most egregious of the Democratic Party's tactics and ambitions as their own, so I doubt you'll acknowledge what I'm saying here. But any sane conservative should.
