Unions Beat Billionaires: Voters in Massachusetts just ratified the Fair Share Amendment, which taxes income above $1 million to fund public services

We know. First, only the rich truly feel entitled as a matter of principle. They believe those who have to work ("earn" income) should have to pay the taxes. They are above all such pedestrian piffle so refuse to pay any share, let alone their fair share. The rich constantly amortize (get rewarded with free, new shit, simply for being rich enough to afford doing so). They actually gain from purchasing insurance (because they can hire expensive lawyers) rather than getting royally hosed like most everyone else. They even gain from making charitable contributions. Study our tax code and compare it to yours. The devilish class divide lurks within the details.
I'm somewhat aware of the differences in our tax codes.
But everybody must be aware of the result America's tax code has created.

It's income inequality of such a high level that it's spawned an attempted revolution. And many are predicting that it will also spawn gun violence in the street to settle old festering scores.

Why do the very people who are being hurt by inequality, become the most vocal in supporting it?

Are they pretending to be among the wealthy?

I'd say. People like Ray from Cleveland actually think they'll be filthy rich some day like Trump because they pull on their bootstraps really hard every morning, presuming most others don't. Obviously an oversimplification, but that's essentially all there is to it. Race, sex,.. every potential distinction imaginable -- the rich encourage and leverage it all just to get richer. Yes, a doomed experiment (always chasing the almighty dollar above everything else), but apparently far from dead yet.

To all Massachusetts residents: congratulations! In a few years, you will be a millionaire! That's because in a few years, the "millionaire's" tax will apply to LOTS more people!
