Then that is unfortunate. When Biden won, I moved about two years of stock into cash, figuring that he’d destroy the economy, the market would tank, and I could live off the cash until mid-terms when the full extent of his incompetence was felt.

So, I was right there, but underestimated how bad Biden would be. I’ve got about six more months in cash, and then I’ve got to start some selling. (In retrospect I wish I had moved even more to cash.)

Here’s another possibility to avoid having to sell in a down market for those of us over 62 and with little to no mortgage remaining. Take out a reverse mortgage, just to tide one over until sanity can be restored and the market starts to recover.
