Uncancelled History with Douglas Murray | EP. 01 Robert E. Lee

TEFRA? In 1982? You think that raised taxes?
Can you give some specific taxes that increased?
What were the rates before TEFRA and what were they after?

Already posted a link, dumbass, See, you never have anything but stupid shit posting. Now proceed to keep 'Posting Last' for the next 20 pages and hoping to bore me to death. Volker told your Hero Reagan to go fuck himself and repealed his 'Reagnomcs' rubbish after about a year, and began raising taxes on little people from then on, while morons like you fell for the 'tax cuts' lie.

You posted a link that didn't prove the claim you made.
It's funny.
Not as funny as your no counterparty derivatives.

What would you call Thomas, who refused to fight against his nation

Exactly what he was, a Southern Unionist.

And he was not unique, there were actually a hell of a lot of them. Especially in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia. That is why West Virginia broke away from Virginia during the war. Most of Appalachia was very pro-Union.

Admiral Farragut was from Tennessee. Governor Sam Houston fought hard but unsuccessfully to keep Texas from secession. James Jackson was a Congressman from Kentucky, who resigned from his seat to join the Union Army. Andrew Johnson was also a Unionist from Tennessee.

A lot of people seem to have this need to divide everything into clear good and evil, black and white. And they will do whatever they can to distort history to fit how they think it should be.

According to ... you? :) Idiot.

Do you know the last time somebody was actually charged with treason against a state?

1859

And even that was interesting, as when John Brown was tried, there was no Federal Courthouse in Harper's Ferry and they wanted to put him on trial, but did not think he would survive the journey to Washington DC where the nearest Federal Court was located. So the US Attorney General allowed the State of Virginia to hold his trial in a state court.

That was the last time somebody was tried for treason against a state. And only because the health of the person on trial forced them to hold it locally. If John Brown was not so badly wounded he would have been tried in a Federal Court and charged with Treason against the US.

The only other time was in response to the Dorr Rebellion in 1842. And he actually tried to form a second government inside the state and declared himself Governor. Thomas Dorr then tried to take military action against the other State Government, and was soundly defeated.

Now you know of both cases in which an individual was charged of treason against a state. And in the second, it was for causing an insurrection inside the state itself in an attempt to overthrow the state government.

Funny, how you always resort to insults right away if anybody ever dares to challenge you. Yet you are never able to back up anything of what you claim, you just seem pissed that not everybody agrees with you.

There were several cases of treason brought against Joseph Smith and some of his followers. But that was also very much a religious witch hunt and not based on actual facts.
