Things just keep heating up. Will the West allow themselves to be dragged into nuclear war over irredeemably corrupt Ukraine?

So... How far will NATO bend its own rules in a bid to get WWIII started good, and proper? Used to be it was a non starter if you were currently in conflict...

America has always wanted a proxy war against Russia, that could remain safe by keeping it limited to rules and limitations.

Now it has what it wanted but America has no way of winning it!

The American Left want Ukraine to join NATO so they can get us into another forever war...
Forever war? Nah, this one would truly be the "war to end all wars". Someone in DC is slow marching the U.S. into a nuclear war. On the surface it just looks like insanity but I have a feeling it is going to someone's plan.

Humankind has reached peak stupidity.
There can be only one outcome.

This has some interesting implications. Clearly someone gave Zeke the idea that applying again, was worth the effort. Who? What does Zeke hope to accomplish with this symbolic gesture? Or... Is it more than symbolic? And if NATO is behind this, and accepts; will it do so only under the condition that the accepted Ukraine, is the Ukraine as is, rather than as was? Or is this a move to get an instant article V? Hmmm.

NATO is a feckless and utterly useless organization. We need to get out of NATO not worry about who joins it
You don't appreciate the difficulty for America if it has to call all of it's wars, America's wars.

Nato countries don't even have to contribute materially to America's wars, it only has to lend it's name for appearance sake.

Hence, the Kosov war for example where America couldn't borrow the UN's name and so had to borrow Nato's.

In the real world, no country except the US can benefit from this war.

For them to benefit we would have to accept that Russia wanted more than the upholding of the Minsk treaty.

How foolish is it to think that Russia wanted a war with the US or nato countries?

Maybe as nuclear war threatens much more seriously, a lot of people will give it some deep thought.

There are about 40 previous US wars of aggression to use as reference points.

That could actually work. Russia keeps the four territories it stole, but the rest of Ukraine is safe with NATO. We've had NATO countries bordering the Red Star before.

Only problem is that violates international treaties. Besides, Ukraine just needed 71 billion from us and who knows how much from others-- -- -- which means that Ukraine is dead wood not likely to be contributing anything to NATO for a very LONG time. Just another 3rd world shithole with its hand out and America stuck being forced to foot the bill by our unelected installed globalist puppet-leader.

Which international treaties? You do bring up fair points. But it would stop the war and keep Putin from being able to claim he won. Other wise it has to continue.
NATO and Russia signed an agreement many years back agreeing to limit the eastward expansion of NATO any closer to them in exchange for other concessions.

Finally, a suggestion instead of the usual spamming and profanity!

I think that Russia can relax it's demands against Nato encroachment after this war. That is, because certain ground rules will have been established as regards Nato's article 5.

An injury to one is an injury to all can still stand.

But also, and injury 'by' one will be considered to be an injury 'by' all.

Rules for the future will be established!

But more important, this will almost certainly be the last war between Russia and America.
