Yea Mike Johnson. For those who said he wasn't the right man for the job, he's looking pretty good now. We need a few more in the Senate who will also block these aid packages.

---The prospects for the US Congress approving new aid to Ukraine as well as military assistance to Israel worsened on Friday after the Republican speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, said he was unlikely to support a deal under negotiation in the Senate that is considered crucial to unlocking the funds.---

Goes to prove out the old saying how even a blind squirrel will find an occasional acorn.

There's stil no significant antiwar chorus from the right. They need to swallow being supportive of Russia, now that it's clear that it has nothing to do with the Ukraine.

US propagandists should be able to concoct a story that will throw hate back on Russia,

Biden's plan that he's settled on will feature a large propaganda effort directed at a willing audience. (so far at least)

The battle lines are being drawn for 2024.

Biden will run as pro Ukraine, Trump will run as pro Russia.

Hope he stands. Its time for America First. Fix the border or else.

This is precisely what the Founders Intended.

H.R. 2 is a damn good Bill.....It did not need Uke or Israel embellishments.

They can take their chances in stand alone legislation.

I might have missed it but I've not heard anything from the EU about picking up the slack as far as the Uke funding goes.....I suspect they know it's time for a peace aggrement too.

Once again Johnson does the right thing.

---Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, recently came under fire after sending the House of Representatives on a two-week recess without voting on a measure to provide aid to Ukraine. A $95 billion international aid package previously passed in the Senate, 70-30, but was not brought to the House floor for a vote before the recess. The package includes $61 billion for Ukraine, $14 billion for Israel, and $4.83 billion for U.S. allies in the Indo-Pacific region, including Taiwan. It would also provide $9.15 billion in humanitarian aid to conflict zones, like Gaza, Israel, and Ukraine.---
