Neither will happen. Putin will give them back a counter-offer and Rubio will have to take that back to Ukraine and get them to agree, THEN it will be a done deal.

And if it falls through, then Russia will say that Ukraine is still the problem, Zelensky does not want peace.

Resuming US arms shipments and intelligence sharing just tells Putin to take the peace deal or lose more young Russians. No one is abandoning Ukraine. Zelensky needed persuading to take the ceasefire.

So far Trump has out-ruled a NATO membership for Ukraine - he is even disputing the 1949 nuclear umbrella guarantee for Europe.
He hasn't mentioned anything about US "citizens", exploiting Ukraine's natural resources and are thus going to be protected by EU peacekeepers. Why the **** should WE?? The USA want's these natural resources - well then protect them yourself.
Furthermore Putin has so far categorically out-ruled EU/NATO peacekeepers and a continued rearming of the Ukraine.

US mining companies would mine the rare earth minerals in Ukraine according to the deal, assuming Z signs it. Who is being "exploited" besides the US taxpayers? Trump graciously gave Russia exactly what they wanted - keep all illegal occupied territories - isolate Ukraine from NATO, and get the time to regroup/rearm and take on Ukraine in a final assault.

Russia controlling Ukraine or Zelensky controlling Ukraine makes no difference to me. Honestly I don't see much difference in the way governments run in France, Germany and the UK in comparison to Russia. Well except for the fact Russia invests in their own security.
