Strickland was declared the winner, not sure they called that right.

I think Chimaev the Chechen won the match but they gave it to the Californian Sean Strickland, who I was rooting for, so I'm glad he won, but I don't think he deserved it. Watch the match

if you watch the entire match it's pretty difficult to say Strickland beat the Chechen.

The Chechnian bloodied Strickland consistently the whole match

Of course, Strickland bloodied the Chechen as well


both fighters took a beating... on technical points I think the Chechnian should have won. But I'm glad the judge ruled for Strickland.
