ISIS has claimed responsibility for an attack this morning on the central Parisian boulevard of Champs Elysees, which left one police officer dead and two more injured.

The terror group said through its Amaq news agency the attacker was of Belgian descent and named “Abu Yusuf al-Beljiiki”. Police officials said the man had been flagged as an extremist.

Some reports say the gunman who fired on them has been killed by police. The Champs Elysees has been sealed off.

France goes to the polls on Sunday in the first round of the presidential election.

There is no word on the identity of the gunman. Jihadism is a major issue in the vote after attacks claimed by so-called Islamic State.

The problem is not Muslims today "teaching" it - the problem is that it's in the Islamic texts in the first place, which are from the all-knowing creator of the whole universe and his #1 hand-picked "best role model of all time" - so of course those texts are 100% right, Muslims believe. I've yet to meet a Muslim who will say that Allah/Mo got anything wrong - not wife beating, not 4 witnesses required to prove rape, not stoning to death for simply having sex outside marriage, NOTHING.

The "moderates" don't really have a problem with the Jihadis or they would reform the texts that exhort the Jihadis to get the highest level of Jannah (which is what the Islamic texts say that Jihadis get.) What they need to do...is make a law that says that "Terrorists, and other criminals" cannot have fully automatic rifles, pistols or grenades.....since only terrorists and criminals are the only ones getting those weapons in France, they must have forgotten to include them when they created their gun control laws....
