This sounds like something a Socialist would say. You have to make do with less for the greater good. Trump ran on inflation and high prices. Now, he's telling everyone to prepare for more.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Wednesday acknowledged that his tariffs could result in fewer and costlier products in the United States, saying American kids might “have two dolls instead of 30 dolls,” but he insisted China will suffer more from his trade war.

The Republican president has tried to reassure a nervous country that his tariffs will not provoke a recession, after a new government report showed the U.S. economy shrank during the first three months of the year.

Interesting that he pointed out China would suffer "more".

That's always the top priority. Revenge, cruelty, without thought of the consequences.

Isnt he foccussing on lack of availability here rather than high prices ?

He wasn't wrong though. People are made of tougher stuff than the realize. Only people emotionally dependent on politics don't realize we will be fine either way.

So our entire economy should be run only on what's good for the short term, and for China.

but mostly what's good for China.

got it.

Your feelings won’t allow you to see the big picture.

You promote women as better than men with extreme feminism and need what is now called DEI as we now know it is not true.

You have a quote of him doing that?

I heard the quote, which I believe is completely accurate, that over 80% of Americans want more goods manufactured in the U.S., and 20% of Americans want to pursue employment in the manufacturing of these goods.

That's the reality of Trump's message. We all know that there are no real economists talking to Trump, and even if so, he would not understand a word of it.

The majority of leftists or TDS idiots on this board lack a brain and/or any form of common sense. It's the typical TDS troll starting another TDS thread.

Yep, and I brought this up about a week ago. Nobody wants to work in a factory. It's a shit job. Instead of trying to bring 19th century sweatshops back to the USA, we should leave that stuff to the Third World, demand better quality controls from them, and revamp our education system to focus on the jobs of tomorrow. We should be leading the worlds, not rolling back the clock.

If you think it's bad now, let's just wait until we're in some kind of a conflict with China and they stop all goods coming to the US, then all of you idiots would be screaming that enough wasn't done to eliminate our dependance on them, or substitute China for any other country we have large trade deficits with. The simple fact is that it doesn't matter what Trump does, you will be against it, and that makes your opinion on anything he does totally irrelevant. :dunno: I seriously come here every day for a good laugh to see what all of you TDS idiots are spouting for the day, great comedy.

Trump wants us to cut back on buying cheap Chinese made shit.

And you have a problem with this, why?

Do we really need a workforce for factories?

Americans might do without artificial Christmas trees and gaudy lights this go-round but China will face famine and anarchy. Which side is the angry disappointed TDS left rooting for?
