There is nothing wrong with a complete quarantine strategy for an epidemic.
But all countries decided against full quarantine for covid because its lethality was so low.
In which case, you get the lowest death rate if you accelerate infection, to achieve herd immunity as quickly as possible.
We could have ended it in 3 months instead of 3 years, and had less than a tenth the deaths.

So Trump had the correct strategy, and it was Fauci who goofed because he wanted to wait for the vaccine.
And the vaccine turned out to not work at all, so Fauci was the one who got it all wrong.

I wouldn't be quick to diss psychologists. I remember watching a programme where prostitutes were going missing in Alaska or Canada and they found dead. The FBI psychologists looked at the crime scenes and concluded there were looking for a middle aged married man, self employed, emigrated to the area, and had an impediment. When they found the guy, he was middle aged, married with a family, emigrated into the area about 15 years prior, owned his own bakery, and had a stutter.

Diss them all you want because what they say doesn't match your beliefs/agenda, that's why the truth hurts.
