Seriously. That was on Yahoo. The article is remarkable for its spin, turning an obvous GOP landslide into a virtual defeat.
How Hillary Clinton won the 2014 midterms - Yahoo News
In other words, for every Senate seat that Republicans flipped in 2014, there’s one — or more — that’s likely to flip back to the Democrats in 2016. The chances that the GOP will still control the upper chamber of Congress after 2016 are slim.

How does this help Clinton? By giving her an added boost on an electoral playing field that already favors a Democratic presidential nominee. In the last six elections, 18 states (plus Washington, D.C.) have voted for the Democratic candidate every single time.

This means that Clinton, assuming she’s the nominee, will start out with 242 electoral votes in 2016; she’ll need only 28 of the remaining 183 tossups to win the election. To defeat her, the Republican candidate will basically have to run the table in the purple states — “not a game plan with a high probability of success,” according to Republican pollsters Glen Bolger and Neil Newhouse. Making matters worse is the fact that Republican senators will already be playing defense in several of these states, attracting additional Democratic attention and resources that will ultimately bolster the candidate at the top of the ticket as well.

The math is just as bad for Republicans — and just as good for Clinton. In 2012, Mitt Romney won 59 percent of white voters, a higher share than Ronald Reagan's in 1980 and George W. Bush's in 2004. But Romney still lost to Obama. Why? Because America’s minority electorate is growing every year. To hit 50.1 percent in 2016, the Republican nominee will have to win a whopping 64 percent of the white vote on Election Day — or significantly improve the party’s standing among nonwhite voters, especially Hispanics. Otherwise, he or she will lose just like Romney.

Hillary Clinton spent an enormous amount of political capital campaigning for democrats and every one of them lost. Arkansas democrats lost the senate and governorship.

Democrats are hanging all their hopes on overcoming a white majority with welfare loving non whites. To do this they expect the level of third world immigration to dramatically rise. This is their entire plan. If it fails they got nothing.

Unfortunately, many Americans want a "balanced" federal government so this GOP landslide may very well benefit the Dems (Presidential election) in 2 years. Whatever the case may be, if Hillary wants a chance she better see this election as a strong message that she had better tone down her radical left, Socialist ideology. I personally think she's a wicked witch and have no idea why anyone would vote for her in the first place but we're talking about a very fickle and uninformed American public who generally vote on emotion.

It's futile to tie last night's stunning election victory to the 2016 Presidential race.

What is going to sway the 2016 race will be whether or not Republicans send legislation to Obama's desk that creates middle class jobs. Then whether or not Obama signs it.

If the GOP doesn't send it, Hillary might still have a chance

If they send it, and Obama doesn't sign it, Hillary won't have a chance.

If the GOP sends nothing but Obamacare repeals, and abortion/contraception/gay marriage legislation, Hillary might still have a chance

I want to hear more from Tea Partiers who want the GOP to pony up and send all those tax cutting bills to help investers be confident in creating middle class jobs

That's the talk of the state in Arkansas today...Bill and Hillary's clout in their home state...near zero.

"welfare loving non whites" - amazing.

That this is the entire Democrat base? Yes. Its what happens when the far left radicals take over the party. Compare the chidlren of old Democrats like Michelle Nunn and Mark Udall to their dads Sam Nunn and Morris Udall and you get some sense as to how far the party has gone off the deep end.

Well yes. Democrats can't get productive non whites. The productive minorities are hurt by democrat policies too. All democrats can grasp are the welfare loving non whites who want another obama phone.

Funny how counties in Ky that Hillary campaigned in went republican. I think she was just bitch slapped:)

I bumped into her and Bill when they lived in Chappaqua and I think she has the potential to be a decent person. She has to stop pretending to be Bill. She's a god-awful liar, it doesn't suit her at all and she has no business being President.

I want to reiterate she will NOT be the Dem nominee in 2016

w00t w0000t!!!! HILLARY 2016!!!

I predict this: Hillary will seek the nomination, and not get it again.

Far left will see somebody like Elizabeth Warren outflank her on the left.

She reminds every man of their ex wife. Even those who never divorced. She has no power, as people have pointed out:all those she supported lost.

Even lil' Carter got his ass waxed.

How often does a Presidential Grandson lose a race?

Not me.

Only guys who married fat dykes.

In 2016 the Republicans will have to defend up to 25 Senate seats to the Democrats' 10.

In 2016 the Democrats that stayed home yesterday will be out to vote.

In 1986, Reagan and the GOP suffered a midterm defeat just like this one for the Democrats. It did not lead to President Dukakis.

Americans do have a short memory but if the public is reminded of Obama's stupidity (and his band of foolhardy idiots) in 2016 perhaps their collective legacy will steer voters away from a repeat of the current mess. Too early to say.

There is no mess. The mess was in 2008/2009. The mess is being cleaned up.
