There's nothing batshit crazy about it. They did that here in Ohio too. They offered to install a free programmable thermostat. They never said they were going to control it remotely. I never signed anything to give them that permission. Yet they raised the temperature anyways.

I disconnected the antenna of the unit so they couldn't do that again. Now the LCD display on the thermostat always says "communication error". But it still works. It can still be programmed. They just cannot change the temperature remotely.

If you separate the discussion of whether the United States is a free and sovereign nation or one of many in globalism, then the division becomes more apparent. Very few if any rich globalist backing socialists are giving up the wealth they attained in life for their communist utopia. Unfortunately, there are agendas within that thinking where the Progs have won the talking points in social justice issues. To the point of people being totally selfish of themselves. Those issues blur the fact that totalitarianism that is the elimination of unalienable rights is part of the globalist design. We see it and have seen it the last few years increase in a huge way.
