There's nothing batshit crazy about it. They did that here in Ohio too. They offered to install a free programmable thermostat. They never said they were going to control it remotely. I never signed anything to give them that permission. Yet they raised the temperature anyways.No problem. tucker spouts batshit crazy stuff regularly.

I disconnected the antenna of the unit so they couldn't do that again. Now the LCD display on the thermostat always says "communication error". But it still works. It can still be programmed. They just cannot change the temperature remotely.
