I know some serious, devout Christians (including in my family) who are dealing with both what they have learned about America in general, and the role Christianity is playing in it. They're just horrified. Some of them have a sadness about them that has not gone away. It's always there now.

Religion can have a valuable place. But it can also be warped and perverted, and this is an example.
