Trump's Wall...

Driving yesterday I was amazed at how many homes had walls behind walls! Like this:

And then I was struck with this image:

How many of the above "Wall protestors" most likely live in homes behind walls behind walls?
Hypocrisy at it's finest!
Because....to you....a wall around a home is the same thing as a wall on a border. So.....your wall is the same as the Great Wall of China and the Berlin Wall. Pretty cool.
You are grossly misinformed about several things.
Let's make it basic. A wall is intended to keep people who are not invited out...except the Berlin wall.
It was intended to keep people IN!
Great Wall of China ... people out.
Berlin wall... people in.
Wall on US border keep people out.
See how simple that is.

Forty Percent of Illegal Immigrants Here on Expired Visas
Though there are no official figures on how many people in the U.S. have expired visas, The Wall Street Journal reports, the most commonly cited figures are 4 million to 5 million people, based on a 2006 study by the Pew Hispanic Center. But it’s not clear how reliable those numbers are because the government does not have a system for tracking visitors who stay past their visa expiration date.

How about this for your suggestion of a "market friendly visa"???

But still depends on visa-holder integrity of complying. That's the problem now. The visa holder can re-new but the above article says millions aren't complying.
Current visa and your suggested visa still rely on the holder compliance. They aren't.

Not renewing on an annual basis could be a basis, for denial and disparagement, next time that person applies.

The truly only way short of a chip implant is law enforcement tracking down expired visa holders and THAT ain't happening now!

Expiring on an annual basis leaves less room for "non-compliance" or complaisance. And, fines could be assessed as late fees. Simple capitalism, no socialism required.

Is it false news your pos Flynn is taking the 5th OR Supremes knocked down RACIST NC bill to bunch blacks together in districts to stop their state wide influence ?? 8-0 and 5-3 with sb Gorcich not voting?
Are you really that DUMB???
The Supreme Court
In what has been hailed as a victory for voting rights, the U.S. Supreme Court declined Monday to hear a case regarding North Carolina's strict voter-identification law.The decision by the Supreme Court leaves in place a lower court ruling that voided the law amid concerns it discriminated against African American voters. U.S. Supreme Court Declines To Hear Case On North Carolina Voting Law
GEEZ what an idiot!
A) The North Carolina law was opposed by several civil rights groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union.
"This law, enacted with what the appeals court called discriminatory intent and 'almost surgical precision' targeting African-American voters, is meeting its much-deserved demise," said Dale Ho, director of the ACLU's Voting Rights Project. "An ugly chapter in voter suppression is finally closing."
B) So evidently YOU wanted the SCOTUS to SAY that the law that according to the ACLU was approving VOTER Suppression was OK?
C) SCOTUS DECLINED to hear the case!
D) THIS MEANS the lower court ruling voiding the law was maintained!
How simple is this to show idiots like YOU that you are so often bassackwards so often!

AGAIN SCOTUS upheld the lower court's decision to void the NC law! So you wanted SCOTUS to say the lower court was wrong and the law
should be upheld?
Punch-Drunk and Sucker-Punched by an Ambidextrous Heavyweight

So much for Republican appointments to SCROTUS allowing patriots to reverse the damage done since the 1960s. As they have been all along, both "sides" are in it together and must be jointly overthrown by populists.

So I take it then you were in favor of IDs in NC?
Your Only Right Is to Convince the Majority

The Voting Rights Act was passed against the will of the majority, who were not allowed to vote on it. So it is nullified.

But sometimes it's useful to fight an absurd anti-majority interpretation of suffrage rights with a restriction that applies to everybody but is more characteristic of the group that was enfranchised against the will of the voters. And this horde of undesirable voters should not be allowed to create a new majority, who will gratefully put both themselves and the original majority under the dictatorship of the few who illegally enfranchised them in the first place.

Economic Treason

Market-friendly mythology enriches only those who control the market. To make money by cheating, these parasites demand both skilled and unskilled foreigners who will work for less than Americans will, pushing us out of our jobs. This starts with the fact that those in power over the market are unfit for their positions; their incompetence forces them to underpay their employees as the only way to make the kind of money these ambitious imbeciles think they deserve.

did you know, nobody should take the right wing seriously about economics or the law?

The US controls that market as a sovereign legal monopoly.

Sure sounds good. You don't think people with expired visas aren't penalized NOW?
Has nothing to do with capitalism.
Has to do with enforcement. How would YOU enforce it?
You've still not answered that very basic real question.
Why don't you use the internet like I have and find out the situation today?

If you overstay the end date of your authorized stay, as provided by the CBP officer at a port-of-entry, or United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), your visa will automatically void or cancel unless;
  • You have filed an application in a timely manner for an extension of stay or a change of status;
  • That application is pending and not frivolous;

Immigrants with long-expired visas tough to track
By the time the suspect in an alleged bomb plot against the U.S. Capitol was arrested in a parking lot, wearing what he thought was an explosive-laden suicide vest, he had been living illegally in the United States for 12 years.

The criminal case against Amine El Khalifi, 29, of Alexandria, Va., has renewed the debate about how the U.S. government — a decade after the terror attacks of 2001 — routinely fails to track millions of foreign visitors who remain in the country longer than they are allowed.

The Obama administration doesn't consider deporting people whose only offense is overstaying a visa a priority. It has focused immigration enforcement efforts on people who have committed serious crimes or are considered a threat to public or national security.

"We have to recognize that we do have this problem," Miller said. "The truth is, in the 40 percentile of all the illegal (immigrants) are in this country on expired visas. They came in right through the front door."

But you are NOT facing reality! The person with an expired visa must come into the immigration office.
Any effort you've described doesn't alter the fact the person has to comply.
Let's put into a context you can understand.
Say there were no cops watching drivers go through a 20mph at 50mph.
The drivers broke the law. Oh wait. They are going down to the traffic court and say.."I broke the speeding law"... please assess me a late fee OK???

The Obama administration doesn't consider deporting people whose only offense is overstaying a visa a priority. It has focused immigration enforcement efforts on people who have committed serious crimes or are considered a threat to public or national security.

"We have to recognize that we do have this problem," Miller said. "The truth is, in the 40 percentile of all the illegal (immigrants) are in this country on expired visas. They came in right through the front door."
Immigrants with long-expired visas tough to track
Expiring on an annual basis leaves less room for "non-compliance" or complaisance. And, fines could be assessed as late fees. Simple capitalism, no socialism required.

Simply because you have nothing but red herrings, you claim I have nothing but fantasy? How typical of the right wing.

How would that work for anyone who is looking for work or has a residence and has recurring bills?

How would what work for an unemployed?
Has nothing to do with it! Obviously the simple point went over your head!
A) there are no cops on the road you drove 50ph over the 20mph speed limit.
B) You admit you broke the law.
C) You go to the traffic court and admit your guilt.

See it doesn't work that way with drivers nor with people with expired visas.
An unemployed person is going to purchase a tourist visa with work authorization potential? How does that work when trying to find a place to live or pay bills?

Once again... people like you take the EXCEPTION and make it the RULE!
NOT EVERYONE on an expired visa are unemployed!
How about this. EVERYTIME you make the exception you tell me HOW many people fit that category!
YOU can't because it is STUPID to develop plans for a society based on the EXCEPTION.
But see that's people like you "white Left" problem. YOU TAKE every situation and make it sound like it happens ALL THE TIME!

Stop it. This the problem our country has is people like you taking the EXCEPTION and making it sound like it happens
all the time!
Black shootings. Gay harassment. Etc.etc.etc. all perfect examples of taking the EXCEPTIONAL situation a one of a kind
or two of a kind or 3... BUT NOT all the time!
As a result of this mental aberration of people like you i.e. you make the EXCEPTION the RULE we have people like you and me breaking a law some law every day! You can't depend on the EXCEPTION to be then the RULE!
Tell me how many expired visa holders are unemployed! Come on you raised the point prove IT!

You make my case for me; no person with a good credit rating is going to want to jeopardize it, on a whim.
