Take a statement from a Republican that clearly has nothing to do with racism, anti-Semitism etc. Pick out one small part that could be somehow stretched into a symbol.

First thing I thought of was the star was a sheriff's badge. The Cintonistas and the D's are really scum to try to turn this into an attack on Jews considering his daughter, son in law AND his grandchildren are Jewish.
