I just checked and in our state the docs you have to provide are the same for both real id and a standard driver's license.

That’s what I’m asking? What is different? My driver’s license Has my personal information. Had my birth certificate and address information. What else is there? The one ask was to bring in a bill with my name and address. Huh?

yeah, you have to provide proof of residence for that state for either Real ID or to get a driver's license for the first time.

I'm assuming that they think a bill showing your current address proves you live at that address.
I'm not going to get one.

It wasn't mandatory before because it was a transition to give everyone time to get Real ID. It was always supposed to be mandatory. In fact the effective date was extended several times.

Thus? This can be used in the exact same way that the Chinese use social credit scores.
I honestly doubt that they can even do it with Real ID. However, if they get rid of HIPPA protections, yes, it would be then possible with a central source of data collection. And once they attach your credit score, and require it to log in to your ISP?
It will be no different than China's social credit score tracking.

A lot of states don't ask for the birth certificate. But yes, birth certificate (not the hospital footprint) , proof of residence,
and proof of your legal name. My wife needed a state marriage certificate because she took my last name.

To me, the voter ID requirement is paramount.
Biden really tried to get illegals to vote, now we have to go out of our comfort zone,

When the time comes your life will shut down if you do not comply. No access to your money in financial institutions. No access to food items as your cash disappears also. And they will eventually stop printing money. Trudeau shut down those truckers protesting in Ontario a couple of years ago. No access to financial institutions. And that was Trudeau! A slow process. Over many decades. Social Security cards were guaranteed as not identification for other ways. Credit Cards opened the gates. We think social rights is the same as pure unalienale rights. They are not.
You probably showed the proper documents to get a DL in the first place, like a
birth certificate or proof of citizenship, along those lines.

It proves where you were born. Proof where you reside.
Proof of who you really are.
Same in Idaho.
