Trump's "Economy."

You are so biased. You don't know that the Democrats have become the party of the rich, that George Soros funds violent protests and subversive socialist Marxist ideals. Your rich depend on empty shells like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom to turn the United States into something that we don't want (communism). You know know there's no excuse for such ignorance in today's age.

Also you are totally wrong about the tax cuts. They were good and they are going to be good again. Trump will go down in history as one of the greatest.
Just using the name George Soros tells me you are brainwashed by the right you jackass. You sound like my buddy who, suddenly, without ever having listened to Howard Stern for 20 years, suddenly has decided he's a sexist pig and boring. I wonder where he heard that from? Oh yea, the right wing noise machine that spews bullshit. Gives you your talking points. So they have convinced you that Soros is the bogie man but never mind the 2000 other rich guys just like Soros who give to your side.

Ya dumb ass.

Those tax breaks caused inflation jackass. It's like giving everyone a stimulus check. Of course prices are going to go up when you hand out money like that.

And lowering interest rates causes inflation. But that's exacly what Trump wants to do. Why am I even talking to you? Shut up stupid.

I'm glad to know the tax cuts were "good". LOL. The debt says otherwise. The cuts to medicare say otherwise. The SS fund says otherwise.

Communism? Red Scare? Are you really just as dumb as your ancestors were in the mid 1900's? You still falling for that red scare shit? Too funny.

Wow you are really stupid. Obviously you can't read either. I just showed you that TRUMPS tax cuts were good for all of us you dumbass. Pull your head out of your ass and look around George Soros is a rich COMMUNIST and is bad news for the country. MAGA

How many people work for those 350 fortune 500 companies? They only got 18% raises.

You can't show that's the case.

Sure I can. Sometimes it's even worse! For example

Starbucks CEO Tops List Of Sky-High Executive Pay Packages

A new report finds the rise in executive compensation is outstripping pay gains for ordinary workers at major companies.

Niccol’s $96 million pay package for 2024 was 6,666 times larger than that of Starbucks’ median employee ― the most lopsided CEO-to-worker pay ratio in a new analysis of “low wage” employers by the Institute for Policy Studies, a progressive think tank.

The analysis, titled “Executive Excess,” looks at the 100 employers in the S&P 500 stock market index with the lowest median worker pay. Public companies are now required to report those pay figures in annual filings.
CEO pay among those 100 companies shot up 34.7% over a five-year stretch, to an average of $17.2 million, compared with a 16.3% increase for the median worker over the same period, to an average of $35,570.

I wonder how Trump supporters see what he is doing with the economy. Recently on the news they showed somebody from what I think was the UAW saying that he thought the Trump tariffs were a good thing. Or at least lead to good ends. What an asshole. What is the rest of the country supposed to do as shelves go empty? Or prices skyrocket? Auto workers make a pretty good salary. They also have jobs that are pretty safe. Who is such a person to be telling the rest of the U.S. what is good or not in that regard.

Also, Trump has an ex-con economic advisor named Peter Navarro who admitted that Trump's tariffs were essentially a trade embargo. A trade embargo can't be good for the economy. And Trump is putting the cart before the horse. If you want things made here, start making them here. THEN cut those products from other countries. Like it or not, Biden did better at the economy than Trump. Here is a meme with graphs to help prove it.

Biden pumped TRILLIONS of fake money into the US economy, hurting the lower and middle class but greatly benefitting the 1%

Houston has a democrat mayor
Start there.

I don't hate everything that's happening in America right now. I saw on tv that Detroit is going after it's gangs. And they are warning those gang members that the government/law isn't playing around.

"We got a lot of high-powered weapons off the street, I'm talking ARs, assault rifles, revolvers, shotguns, etc," Bettison said. "Going after groups and gangs that are causing violence in the city."

His organization delivers a clear message to those involved in gang activity.

"Bro, either you're going to roll with the community or you're going to get rolled over by this d*** law enforcement agency," Winans said.

"If you looking for change man, it's time man, because here in the next few weeks, the next few months, it might be too late," Thompson said.

Winans warned that more law enforcement action is coming.

"Did you see what Bettison said? D*** the raids. He said indictments is coming, man," Winans said.

It'll be tough to show a 2% additional increase over the 40 previous years, eh?

Now show this, now show that. I think you get the point. And perhaps that 5 year stretch was after Covid. Inflation raises. We all got them. So in the last 5 years, during inflation, we got 16% raises. But all those other years, we saw that the CEO's who sent the most jobs overseas got the biggest pay days.

Based on available information, stating that the middle class only received an 18% raise since 1978 might be an oversimplification of a more complex reality regarding income trends and the middle class.
Varying income growth over time: The rate of income growth has fluctuated significantly since 1978 for all income tiers. During the period between 1979 and 2007, for example, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported that the top 1% saw a 275% increase in after-tax income (inflation adjusted), while the bottom fifth experienced a smaller but still significant increase of 18%

Point is in the last 6 decades the rich have waged war on the middle class and poor.

Tax breaks from them and cuts to social safety nets.
Hiring illegals instead of American workers.
Sending our jobs overseas for the cheap labor and CEO pay goes up
Stocks go up because labor costs go down, another reason they got richer while we got poorer

Being jealous of rich people is no way to go through life. I think it's great that people get rich and make us all better off.

They have stolen from the poor and middle class. Only they framed it so that they justified the financial assault. As the debt went up you claimed they were paying too high of taxes. What are you stupid?

No, no they haven't. It is because of them and the middle class that we have one of the highest standards of living in the world here in the United States. What are you? Stupid?

Yes we have always had a high standard of living. At least compared to other countries. Because of unions and labor laws. During Biden, when you were complaining about the economy, our worst states like Mississippi were doing just about as good as Germany was. Our WORST states. So things were great under Biden.

In 1978 we had a very high standard of living. I'm talking about the middle class. We were doing great. Then Reagan got in, then Bush, then Trump. And their policies have lowered our standard of living while making Trump who may or may not have had $1 billion dollars in 2016 now has $7 billion.

He has a high standard of living. Not you. Not us. We had it better before the rich waged war on the middle class starting with Reagan.

Rich are not Waging War on the middle class. What is up with you and disinformation? It is because of the rich we HAVE a middle class. I have a high standard of living, you don't? The Bible says thou shall not covet, that is the way we should live and we will be successful.

You can be ignorant to it but starting in the 1970's corporations broke the social contract with workers. No longer could people expect to work 30 years for 1 company. Today it's 5 years average. The average person lasts 5 years. How you gonna have kids knowing every 5 years you'll be looking for another job?

Stopped giving us raises. In that time their pay went up 1322% and ours 18%.

Broke unions

Sent jobs overseas

Hired illegals instead of Americans. Kept wages down. Maxed profits.

Outsourced jobs to india call centers. Instead of an American answering the phone, it's an indian from india

And they got Reagan, Bush, Trump 1.0 and 2.0 tax breaks. That's 4 tax breaks. We got 1 right?

You just don't know they waged class warfare on us. Did you make out the last 40 years? Because the American middle class didn't.

God, I know so many union friends who are mid 50's and retired with pensions and healthcare. The middle class doesn't have it that good anymore now do we?

Again we have one of the highest standards of living in the world in the United States and it will keep getting better as long as we keep Democrats like the potato out of power. Stupidity, Corruption, and socialism is no way to run a country. We really shouldn't be jealous because somebody earns a lot of money, that helps no one.

Food prices really don't make much difference to us other than I like to play the game of getting things as cheap as possible for the sport of it. Some elderly people I know on fixed incomes are struggling with groceries these days though. I keep inventing odd jobs for my across the road retired neighbors to do to pay them a few hundred a month just so they don't feel beholding but don't go short either. I am running out of things to ask them to do though where it doesn't seem obvious they are not really helping us out.
.

God Bless you.

I hire a local retiree to do all of my yard work and snow removal. Currently, he's doing a splendid job of painting my home and his estimate was a thousand dollars less than the guy who did a half-assed job of painting my home in WA when I was getting ready to move.

He gets a ton of similar jobs around town, and he's going okay, and was able to retire from the job he hated. This is the benefit of living for decades in a small town -- I couldn't find a single person who didn't know and respect him!

The point is, the commies at EPI were talking out of their asses.

Based on available information, stating that the middle class only received an 18% raise since 1978 might be an oversimplification of a more complex reality regarding income trends and the middle class.

It was a lie. Simple as that.

During the period between 1979 and 2007, for example, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported that the top 1% saw a 275% increase in after-tax income (inflation adjusted), while the bottom fifth experienced a smaller but still significant increase of 18%
Is the average worker at the 350 biggest companies in the bottom 20%?
Or is the average worker in the country in the bottom 20%?

Or EPI lied and you fell for it?

LOL!

Point is in the last 6 decades the rich have waged war on the middle class and poor.

And EPI's lies aren't helping.
