The best that can come out of any attempt to get the government under some kind of fiscal control is to have an honest accounting and let everyone know where the resources are coming from and going to and why, This under the table dispersing and social engineering is what is driving confusion and division. I know a college grad who has worked at Starbucks for 16 years, and at age 37 is still live at home with Mommy and Daddy. I seriously doubt she majored in accounting or engineering or something else useful. Probably another Sociology major.

The main reason federal employees have gotten away with the scam they’ve been running for years - go into the office one day a week and enjoying free time the other four days going swimming, to the movies, running errands, working on home renovation projects, etc. - is because most Americans haven’t seen the extent of the abuse.

Once Elon and Vivek show the country what’s been going on, taxpayers will be screaming bloody murder.

(I know of federal employees who have gone on international vacations for weeks, and don’t even take annual leave - and they brag about it. It’s that bad.)
