Wrong again. College educated conservatives are still college educated conservatives, and College educated liberals are still college educated liberals.

What happened is the non-college educated working class- the tradesmen and women, shifted to Trump. That made the percentages of college educated liberals a higher share of the democratic voters, and college educated conservatives became a lower share of the republican voters.

Trump took a big chunk of the democrat electorate and made it his. That is the only shift that took place.

There’s a realignment in the country. The low skill, low wage, welfare loving people vote Trump. The high skill, high wage, taxpayers vote Dem.

43% of college educated still went for Trump, the skilled trades went for Trump, and the welfare queens stuck with the dems.

Among those college educated, it is the younger ones that trend democrat, and the older ones (who are in their high-earning years) that trend GOP.

Even your theses on the college educated earners is flawed, because that college education doesn't really payoff until later in life. People who are fresh out of school often earn less than their counterparts who are in the trades.
