Trump began negotiations with a stick and then offered a carrot to the countries that expressed a willingness to negotiate .. however in the same week he slapped huge tariffs on China for their expression of defiance ! this is a brilliant move ! the 90 day pause is a sign of good will and the HUGE tariff hikes on China is proof to the over 70 countries that Trump will absolutely use the stick if necessary ! Brilliant ! the tariff hikes on China sends the a stern message to the countries that were given a pause that Trump did not blink nor will he back down if they renege on their promises !
