Trump's 4% GDP growth promise update

The Fed is now addressing weakness with (most likely) a schedule of rate cuts. Anyone paying attention to Reality World facts knows this.

The bragging about the booming economy is just more talk radio noise. The economy is pretty good (not "booming", as is the claim), and with the right care and some better news from overseas this could get back on track. Clearly China is waiting for the 2020 election results because they don't want to work with Trump and are hoping for more stability at the top, so that will continue to hinder growth.
.
So trump is a hinderance

China is waiting to see if America is willing to go back to just being their *****.

How is Trump the problem?
Things were fine in 2017. Economy was booming. Low unemployment. What’s wrong with our trade agreement with China?

Is this another fake emergency like the border crisis?

I thought he was a good negotiator?

We’ll see

He should have said he’s going to give rich people big tax breaks which will lead to a slightly better economy for about a year then my trade war will slow everything down

He inherited an aging expansion.

Yet wages are rising, especially for the lower income people.
And he supercharged it with tax breaks which only gave us a small bump.

Unimpressive. But if Americans are happy vote for it.

The good macroeconomic numbers hid heavy costs for the American workers, and society.

As you well know.

That is what is wrong with our trade with China. And Europe. And just about everyone.

Dude. "Fake Crisis"? You know that is not true. Knock that shit off.

Agreed. THe republicans are stuck fighting the last war.

THe real issue is changing the underlying trends. That could be Trump's real and important lasting legacy.

If we follow though.

Hopefully not.

But you are lying.

But, I am not.
Of course you are, and YOU know it!

Nope.

I agree, you are not lying. You really believe the things you are saying just like Trump believes the things he says.

I am not a big user of hyperbole. The President is.

NOt really hard to understand.

But admitting that, takes away a reason, no, one way for you to act superior.

Yes, you are a big user of hyperbole, what you are is a big, staunch defender of the president. You are not capable of seeing him as any other than perfection. The idea that he might lie is beyond the pale for you.

He uses the exact same verbiage 35 times and you make some of them hyperbole and some of them he is telling the truth, all based on what makes him look the best

Even if what you claimed was true, (it is not), that would not be hyperbole, that would be stonewalling.

Your completely lack of concern about the actual meaning of words, is far worse and far more dishonest, than what the President does.

The guy has an odd and off putting style. If you want to express your dislike of that, that is a matter of personal opinion.

But your need to make it into something more, is just kind of pathetic.

It is you dismissing things as hyperbole that shows no concern for the actual meanings of Trump’s words. But you have to ignore the meanings to be able to defend him non-stop as you do

1. Considering hyperbolic statements as exaggerations is not dismissing them. I am always willing to discuss their actual intent and meaning.

2. I do not defend him non stop. It seems that way to you, because you and people like you, are so constantly making irrational and over the top attacks on him.

1. Yes, it is dismissing them. As soon as you write them off as hyperbole the one who made the statement is now free of any responsibility for their claims.

2. Yes, you really do. All you do is defend him and make excuses for him.

2. No, I do not. You just only notice when I defend him, and don't even really see when I don't. Your hate blinds you.

1. No you do not. You just claim that he could not have been serious based upon your own opinions. It has never entered your mind that he might actually think he knows more than the people he claims to know more than. You just automatically dismiss it as hyperbole.

Trump does not believe a single thing he says. In his book he called hyperbola a strategy, therefore he knows he's lying when he lies.
If he used the word "hyperbole" then he is not lying, because he does not expect to be taken literally.
He never uses the word hyperbole when he lies, only when he gets caught lying. He expects his "hyperbole" to be believed enough to close the "deal."

No, that is what YOU do, so you assume everyone else does the same.

I look at what he said, and if it seems remotely credible, based on my knowledge of him and/or the world, I consider him to be serious.

If not, I consider it hyperbole.

You are the one that quoted him, from his book, saying that he uses hyperbole.

Of course when one is exaggerating, one does not use the word exaggerate.

That was such a weak attack, that I find it hard to credit that you seriously believe what you just posted.

Trump is the most honest president we ever had. He never lies. If you think he's lying, he's just exaggerating. If he's not exaggerating, he's just misunderstood. If he's not misunderstood, he's just joking. If he's not joking, he's just quoting someone else. If he wasn't quoting someone else, he was just tweaking Liberals. But he never lies. Not ever.
