Trump — We’re going to look into Ashli Babbitt case.

From 6' he didn't need to shoot Ashli in the neck.

A warning shot or a non-lethal shot was called for against a legitimate unarmed protester.
There was as no reason to shoot at all. The officer panicked

BTW, you don’t fire warning shots just to wound.

So your answer then, is, the only option they should have considered was deadly force?
She was ordered to stand down. Multiple times. If she had climbed the door and gotten through the window, she would have unlocked the door and let the masses in.

Move on.

Did you not read my message? Trump et al. don’t care about Ashli Babbit. She’s just a buzz word.
I remember when purple haired nose ringers said Trump didn’t care about illegals or closing the border….hahaha

You piece of shit. You’ll just say anything.

First of all you have a five foot woman in a three foot window . It’s basically ALL CENTER MASS

Second how far do you think your chest is from your shoulder? Moron

lesh; she was exposed enough he could have aimed lower.

If you are aiming for the shoulder, you are aiming too high. The idea isn't to kill them, it's to stop them.

If you are mad that I disagree with the method that he used, that's fine, I'm simply saying that, by looking at the images from the back, she was upright enough to have an exposed chest.

Look at this video, if babbit was 5 feet tall, those windows are probably 3 feet tall, you can see when whe crawled up into the windows, she wasn't crouched too much, she was pretty upright, her chest was exposed.

There wasn't a need for Byrd to be aiming up that high. At 6 feet away, he would have had a center mass shot.

Again, I'm noticing that that window had been broken for a short time before she climbed up into it, lob some tear gas in there, disperse the crowd.

WHY did capitol police leadership order the police to not use tear gas that day? THAT mistake might have stopped a lot of what happened that day.

Unarmed and unshielded civilian employees were delivering less-than-lethal munitions," she said.

Bolton said better gear and munitions could have turned the tide earlier against the January 6 riot.

“When MPD used Stinger Balls, people starting turning around and leaving. It would have helped us," he said.

Looks like the capitol police were intentionally hamstrung that day.

Why are you trying to justify her actions? She was told to stand down multiple times. She served in the Air Force. Used to following orders. It was easy. As a former member of the military, she was familiar with threats. Had she made it through the window, she would have unlocked the door and let the mob in. To law enforcement, that made her a threat.
She got shot in the neck. Terrible. But probably saved a lot of lives that day.

Maybe all the other officers were kinda busy fighting off TRUMPERS

Just fuck off
Byrd wasn't the only officer in the hallway at that time

Just fuck off

Lol, calm down, it's ok to disagree and even discuss. I'm not being aggressive toward you...why are you being aggressive toward me?

Oh come on, that's just silly. If she had gotten through the window, you think the officers there would have given her time to turn around and unlock the door? No, they would have tackled her and arrested her.

Why are you all so perplexed that I'm simply saying, why wasn't there OTHER means of defense there, why was the ONLY deterrence they had, lethal force? Why were the capitol policed ordered NOT to use the one thing that would probably have helped the most?

I'm not perplexed. Beyond your reasoning that what happened on that day was justified in any way, and the fact you can't accept the police officers were outnumbered by at least 20 to 1.

Tackled her? They were at least 10 feet from the door and hunkered down in defensive positions.
You address the threat..before it becomes too much of a threat to deal with.

When have you seen me try and justify her actions? I'm not talking about HER, I'm talking about Byrd. I agree she was in the wrong ....now, let's figure out why the only avenue available that day for officer Byrd was deadly force? Why were the capitol police prohibited from using tear gas?
.

Had she made it through the window, she would have unlocked the door and let the mob in.

Why do people keep saying that? As if the officers on the other side of the door would let that happen. Tase her..pepper spray her, incapacitate and arrest her. Lob some tear gas through the big gaping hole in the window, that will get them to run the other way...

Who said I'm justifying them? Where do you get that?

They wouldn't have been outnumbered if the NG had been called in.

They would have been better prepared if they weren't prohibited from using tear gas.

Byrd was 6 feet from her. Why were the rest back that far?

Look, I just think there was a severe lacking of preparedness that day, and the police were screwed because they were not given the tools that day. Maybe we can't blame Byrd directly, but we certainly need to know why the officers were not given the proper tools and support.

Bolton said better gear and munitions could have turned the tide earlier against the January 6 riot.

So where did they go wrong? And no, I'm NOT justifying J6, but, when that situation arose, the police were set up to fail.

SOMEONE should have had a taser or pepper spray.

Overwhelmed. By a mob that was hell bent on violence

Taze her? Pepper her?..from 20 feet away? Yikes.

Byrd was at least 15 feet away, hunkered behind a wall outcropping.

She should have stood down. She'd be alive today. If this were a police officer in any other position, you would take their side.

Why did 4-5 officers on the protesters side of the door retreat right before she was murdered?

Overwhelmed. By a mob that was hell bent on violence
If they had access to the proper gear and personnel, they wouldn't have been overwhelmed.

Don't be 20 feet away? Byrd was 6 feet from the window. Had he had a taser he could have done it...if someone had some gas canisters they could have lobbed them through the window.

The double doors are about...4 feet wide?

That's Byrd, standing out nearly in the middle of the first pane on the left side. So maybe just a tad more than 6 feet.

She should have stood down. She'd be alive today. If this were a police officer in any other position, you would take their side.

Oh I agree she should have stood down. All of them should. That they didn't doesnt mean you use deadly force as your first action. I'll admit, maybe they were ill prepared for what was happening, and that's on their superiors. Still, looking at the pictures, and seeing how close he was, I think he could have aimed lower and simply wounded her.

Why did 4-5 officers on the protesters side of the door retreat right before she was murdered?
I don't know...why weren't the rioters attacking them?

She was ordered to stand down. Multiple times.

NO SHE WASN'T. Show the video of these warnings to prove it! I saw the live video. She stepped through a doorway and the DEI coward Byrd with a history of brutal police incidents just shot her in the neck as he crouched down hiding to the side and shot her in the neck. She could not believe she was shot. I saw the kid interviewed who held her as she died.

But it wouldn't matter anyway. She was unarmed, no threat. Byrd murdered her out of cowardice, fear and panic and now he is going to pay for it.

I hope he can afford a good lawyer--- I have a feeling he is going to need it.
