Are you guys ready? The inflation is starting. The shortages will follow soon.

Ho told you up front he was gonna do this, but for some reason you thought it wasn't gonna happen.

Assume the position, trump supporters. You rewards for winning are here.

There may be, but when the dust settles, I'll bet Canada no longer has 300% tariffs on our goods.
In Canada imports face prohibitive tariffs such as 168% for eggs, 285% for chicken, 246% for cheese and over 300% for butter.

How does 25% sound to you now? Fair? Oh, and thanks Canada for shutting down your giant fentanyl lab. Illegals weren't the only thing you were sneaking over our border.

Trump said he was gonna reduce prices, not increase prices, what a two-faced *****.

It's all about pain tolerance here.

Canada and Mexico both have SEVERE economic issues at the moment.

This is something they could have instantly resolved but chose not to. Now the few big businesses in each country will solve them for the government. By getting new government leadership. (And by directly attacking the drug trade with "security forces" AKA mercenaries. )

This tariff war could have been stopped for 2 months now. It wasn't a surprise, a new concept, or even not blared on EVERY news channel in the world. They knew what to do but didn't do it. They wish to play tough? Guess what? We got someone from NYC and New Jersey that plays tougher. Ask Columbia.

He told his cultists going he would them financial problems and that is one promise he is keeping.

Aren't the best leaders the ones that cause prices to increase, like Biden...

This thing is going to cause some pain and shortages, but it's a necessary thing and has to be done to get things right, and then we will all be better off. The world will be better off. They have a blueprint for success for everyone.
What they're doing has been needed since the Reagan days and maybe before..

To cause pain to citizens? We need to feel pain? Why?

He's doing the things me and my buddies have been talking about needed done for decades and twice that and more!
It's common sense, the thing is going to be shaken up, and yes it will,
but watch how much better we'll all be in the long run and how bright the future will be for all.
The plan is sound, there will be bumps, but this tunnel ain't that long.
Is you an American or Iz you an American?

From Google:
Canada exports into the USA....
Energy (crude oil, natural gas and coal) is responsible for 29% of Canada's goods exports to the US in 2024 (Jan–Nov.). Machinery and equipment manufacturing, which includes automotive/parts, was responsible for 21% of goods exports in the same year

Good. Trump is putting the ball into our court, where it has always belonged. Are we up to the task? If we want,

Lower gas prices, use less gas.
Lower food prices, eat less food.
Lower interest rates, borrow less money.
Lower medical cost, take care of your health.
Less crime, stop committing crimes.

You get the picture.

Mexico exports a variety of goods to the United States, including vehicles, machinery, electrical equipment, and fruits and vegetables.
Vehicles Cars and Motor vehicle parts and accessories.
Machinery Electrical machinery and equipment and Machinery including computers.
Electrical equipment
Electrical components like insulated wire, switches, and printed circuits
Fruits and vegetables tomatoes, avocados, raspberries, bell peppers, and strawberries.
Other goods Crude oil, Audio and video equipment, Beverages, Optical and medical equipment, and Appliances.
Mexico is the largest exporter to the United States. In 2022, Mexico exported $421 billion to the United States.

The USA can recover from the short term pain very quickly by using alternative sources for these things. It is not even difficult.

Produce can come from South Africa and South America in a heartbeat. The energy can come from our own reserves of coal and petroleum.

We have had a moratorium on Canadian lumber for a while now. They really want to sell the USA their lumber but we have sustainable farmed trees of our own to utilize. And theirs is much cheaper....too cheap in fact because it's Canadian federally subsidized. We warned them before about this but they refused to cooperate so it was cut off. Also they have pests in their lumber we don't want to import into our forests.

The biggest trouble I see coming is the copper wire.
Chinese wire has ALWAYS been problematic. So they aren't going to be a decent source and they are getting tariffs too.

Copper wire and harnesses are going to skyrocket in price but the recycling price won't change. (So your AC is safe)

Construction prices? They were going up anyway due to the coming labor shortages.
