If you view international relations as a team sport on TV then yes, he "wins". But that's a peculiarly American thing, perceiving a complex topic like politics and global economics as entertainment, it's beyond naive and hardly accurate.

Trump is damaging the US's reputation, trading partners are going to rethink their relationships and reduce the prospect of Trump impacting them in this way.

As I read earlier China is watching this very closely and will make inroads where the US is alienating important partners. The US consumes more than it produces, bullying trading partners won't fix that.
