Trump Wants No Tax For Americans Making Less Than $150,000 A Year

We have no income tax in Nevada and there are plenty of other states that don’t have it either. Nobody is starving in the streets because of a higher sales tax in lieu of it.
YOu pay federal income tax in Nevada.

What happened to "everyone must pay their fair share" OP?
No one can define "fair share". Marxist libtards like yourself love that phrase because it lets you practice wealth redistribution via the welfare state.

He doesn't want "no tax", he wants a consumption tax which will be regressive.
No, regressive would mean those who make more would pay a lower rate. A flat rate is equal for everyone.

A flat tax is what we should have, but the corporate tax is stupid and nothing more than a thinly veiled sales tax. Anyone who thinks businesses actually pay this and not add it to the cost of their goods and services is an idiot.

Funny how those screaming about tariffs being a tax are silent about corporate taxes, and excise taxes as well.

Not exactly.

Imagine you make a product, and you're competing with a product from abroad.

They'll charge you X because X is slightly lower than Y which is what the foreign product is paying after paying to ship their goods, to pay for a tariff to get them into the country etc.

If you tax the company, they'll charge you X and make A profit. If you don't tax the company they'll charge you X and you make A+B profit.

This is an example of what could happen.

If you don't pay the company tax, they'll have to pay higher wages to compensate for individuals having to pay more tax. This will hurt the poorer people more, as they'll need to earn more, compared to rich people. So, in other words, rich people would make more money out of getting rid of tax for their businesses.

Really? You're now just noticing this? Why is it you attack Trump for saying things when most of what you are criticizing never happen anyway and you KNOW this but you criticize anyway.

Because that habit is why things are crashing.

I would rather see a flat tax on personal income and a flat tax on corporate income with no deductions, but this would certainly be better than the current code and I would support it, but don't hold your breath. It's unlikely to happen. If it's actually proposed, it will be interesting to see who stands against it and why.

Yeah, I just don't think NO tax isn't going to work. We have to fund this overbloated government somehow!

I do like the no tax on OT though, but not sure if even that would be a good idea.

Don't be surprised if you see more national debt at the end of 2025. Trump's masterpiece! Lol. :)

👉 As of now, President Donald Trump's goal is to eliminate taxes for Americans earning less than $150,000 per year, according to statements made by U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick1247. This proposal is part of a broader tax strategy that includes eliminating taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security benefits, as well as reducing corporate taxes14. However, the plan's feasibility and potential impact on the national debt and economy are subjects of ongoing debate and concern among experts24.

👉 President Trump's plan to balance the budget without increasing taxes involves several strategies, though experts question their feasibility:

Extend and Modify Tax Cuts: Trump aims to permanently extend the 2017 tax cuts, which are set to expire after 2025. This includes reducing taxes for corporations and small businesses16. However, extending these cuts would reduce government revenue, potentially increasing the deficit5.

Eliminate Taxes on Certain Income: He proposes eliminating taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security benefits16. While this reduces tax burdens, it also decreases government revenue.

Increase Tariffs: Trump plans to impose new tariffs on imports to help offset the costs of his tax cuts1. Tariffs can generate revenue but may also lead to trade disputes and economic impacts.

Reduce Government Spending: Trump suggests cutting fraudulent spending, repealing energy and environment-related spending, and dissolving the Department of Education12. However, these cuts might not be sufficient to offset the revenue lost from tax reductions23.

Offer Visas for Revenue: Trump has mentioned offering visas to wealthy foreigners for a fee of $5 million as a revenue-generating strategy4.

Despite these plans, budget analysts argue that Trump's proposals could widen the deficit rather than balance the budget, as the spending cuts and revenue measures may not adequately offset the costs of his tax policies234.
