War with Iran would ensure Trump doesn't get re-elected. He can call out the crazy government there and even threaten them with retaliation, but, his domestic outreach would dwindle if he just went to war without a valid reason. He isn't a war mongerer, he is operating via peace through strength.

Iran wisely sided with China and Russia, knowing China in particular, had the inside track in the West and America. All those who supported China with all their being, ensured consequences for other Western nations and allies. In fact, every enemy of America became closer to China, along with many so-called allies hedging their bets.

What has it meant? Take a look at global influence and the changing of civil liberties around the world. Canada was one of the first to get onboard the China First train. We have the same wages as we did 40 years ago, and, our economy and lack of civil liberties is striking.

Some are still convinced in Canada that America is the bad guy and China this great, peaceful nation of Confucianists. Unfortunately, Communist governments have a different objective.

That's why Israel would do it.

Israel wouldn't do it unless they are in a tough spot. Iran in the process of building a nuke, etc and it wouldn't be an expanded war, it would be sharp strikes, if at all. The world has changed thanks to so many giving away the great advantage America had after the collapse of the Berlin Wall and consequences for large scale war would be immense, globally and for domestic politics.

America should have stuck to it's guns and expanded influence after the fall of the Eastern Bloc. Instead, the last few leaders of the West and the meatheads with deep pockets illustrated why Reagan was so admired. The Establishment hated Reagan as they hate Trump.
