President Trump did a great job which is why he has been attacked relentlessly since the day he came down the escalator. He knows how to solve problems but not how to appease career politicians. By proving problems can be solved without much falderal, he made enemies of the far left, Democrats and elites in both parties.

I can see a Trump/DeSantis ticket as being unstoppable. Whether their egos can allow that to happen, I don't know.

Trump absolutely would torch the GOP and cater to his own ego if denied the GOP nomination.
First, he'll insist the republican nomination process was fraudulent. How do we know? He did exactly that in 2016.

Of course, he'd do the exact same thing in 2024 as he lost nominations. The GOP has no reason to be if it can't deliver Trump power.

Second, Trump would withhold support or otherwise sabotage winning GOP candidates if his ego isn't catered to. As he did in the 2020/2021 Georgia Senate runoff after losing the presidential election.
