Trump just wont give it up, either because he is too stubborn or because he does not have the mental acuity to understand what happened. The SCOTUS ruled that his "tariffs" were nothing more than taxes on the American people, and he does not have the authority in the Constitution (Article 1, Section 8) to levy taxes. Case closed, end of story.

But, Trump just can't stand to lose his argument that tariffs on imports are actually paid by the exporting country. Either he's a liar, or the Wharton Business School should shut down for not educating its students! BTW Trump, you should be concentrating on shutting down the mid-terms, not losing arguments on taxes!

Maybe Trump is relying on the ignorance of most people regarding tariffs. I don't believe for a minute that he doesn't understand who pays the tariffs.

The tariff lie is similar to the rigged election lie, in that it really does appear that he believes it.

Congenital liars appear to believe any lie they speak, the moment the lie leaves their mouth.

I would try a new tactic as well. Can't blame him.

Ummmmmmmmmmmm, lots of presidents have imposed tariffs, including Biden during his term. Why can't Trump?

Once again, we see the use of the fallacy by a Trump worshipper. Target tariffs used by other presidents ae not the same as the blanket tariffs Trump has tried to impose.

Trump didn't do blanket tariffs. He imposed tariffs on some, not others and put different tariff amounts on different countries.

Trump wishes the average American, which is a human sheep to him to be fleeced for the rich, to pick up the load.

I finished at the bottom of the top half of my HS class. However, most of my class has "passed on" and I'm still alive and (pretty) well. One's real education comes in the decades following graduation, with work and life experience.

considering the bankruptcies of Trump's businesses, he hasnt learned too much in life experience. But is talented at undervaluing his properties for tax purpose while simultaneously overvaluing them for favorable loan conditions.

He knows how to play the system.
I had a loan officer that gave me favorable loan terms as I always paid on time and in full. Then the bank tightened up their lending policies, and I no longer got the favoritism. I withdrew my accounts and went to a different bank.

Americans have been believing lies since the founding, nothing new here.

one of Trump's professors said he was one of the dumbest students he ever had. That playing the system is simply fraud.
