Trump rewrites the history of his coronavirus response in Philly town hall

Confronted about his handling of race relations, Trump cited unemployment figures to argue that early this year was “the best single moment in the history of the African American people.”

"Philadelphia - Trump attempted to rewrite the history of his early response to the coronavirus during a town hall in Philadelphia on Tuesday, saying he “up-played” the pandemic rather than downplaying it — an assertion directly at odds with his own comments in public and on tape. “I don’t want to scare people. I don’t want to make people panic and you’re not going to go out and say, oh, this is going to be, ‘This is death, death, death,’” Trump said. At one point, Trump said the virus would go away even without a vaccine, “over a period of time.” Trump said Americans would “develop like a herd mentality” — garbling the phrase “herd immunity,” the threshold at which enough people have been infected that the virus spreads more slowly. ABC host George Stephanopoulos pointed out that that would also mean “many deaths.”

Obviously, this whole town hall was set up by the Democrats to be nothing more than a hit job -- but Trump totally owned all of the people there asking questions...Herd mentality is exactly the best way to defeat this virus, we need more infections, and more infections don't mean more deaths..the deaths that we should be panicked about are all of the millions of deaths that will definitely come if Biden is elected..How soon we forget how after Obama was elected, 5 million more people a year died, at the hands of both Obama and Biden......we can't afford another catastrophe like that....

Another uppity darkie had the nerve to insist that Trump not interrupt her and allow her to finish asking her question -- how she wasn't arrested for this criminal disrespect is beyond me...but she was whining about socialist crap like protecting people with pre-existing conditions -- and why is Trump claiming he is for keeping those protections while at the same time trying to remove those protections in court...Trump responded to her nasty question with an answer that will solidify his election win -- probably the most brilliant response he has given --

He told her "I have it already, and it's a much better plan for you," -- that's it -- that is the ball game...He then went on to say: "We're going to be doing a health care plan, very strongly, and protect people with preexisting conditions."

That is a game-changer...not only does he already have a healthcare plan, he has one very strongly -- once he announces this plan -- the election is basically over...

Trump owned no one as he continued to downplay it. He did everything you would expect him to do. He was totally out of touch. Then he attacked Biden for NOT instituting a mask mandate. Not a good performance.
