With respect to being confirmed for the offices they seek, it doesn't matter if fear of having their name withdrawn should trump learn they said Biden won is the reason for their mealy mouthed answers. Or whether they are in denial of reality. Both circumstances should be immediately and irrevocably disqualifying to serve on the bench for a second..........let alone life.

I've watched quite a few of these hearings for judicial nominations.

There's a LOT of grandstanding, a lot of asking loaded questions and a lot of Republican nominees saying the exact same thing, as if they've been coached (because they've been coached).

But most of it is just "meh".

But this, these judicial nominees refusing to say that Trump cannot run again for president under the Constitution as it stands now.

They're doing this because they know it would be the death of their career (in the next three years, at least) to say what Trump does not want them to say...

Its not about judicial ideology... its about courage. These candidates are scared. They are scared to say the obvious truth out loud. Why would you want a judicial nominee that is a coward? This makes no sense. There are plenty of brave independent conservative judges.
