Trump signs executive order to dismantle the Civil Rights Act of 1964

Phake News. This is a very anti-racist thing, idiot.
Trump didn't grow up in your kookookadoodle commie indoctrination curriculums n stuff.
Many, many of us did not. All that hot DEI garbage and AA is against The Civil Rights Act.
Barry Soetero did a lot of damage, it's time for that to heal.
Duke,
Go to the corner, face the wall, think about what you wrote.

This is Project 2025, absolutely pitiful

Yep, racism in full effect.

In a sweeping move that civil rights advocates say could unravel decades of progress toward racial and gender equity, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday that seeks to dismantle a key legal tool for combating systemic discrimination: disparate-impact liability.

The order, titled Restoring Equality of Opportunity and Meritocracy, frames itself as a defense of "colorblind" principles, arguing that policies considering race or gender in any way— even unintentionally— undermine meritocracy. But legal experts and activists warn that the directive could gut enforcement of landmark civil rights laws, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, by making it nearly impossible to challenge discriminatory practices that disproportionately harm marginalized groups.

When I read the article title, I thought it was a joke. It was not. trump is intent on turning back the racial clock to the 50's. Please do not tell me that trump is not a racist. That will not fly anymore. I hope all the minorities that voted for this man have learned a lesson. trump on lies when his lips are moving. LESSON LEARNED!
don't want a color blind society do you ?

I have vivid memories as child in Arkansas and Tennessee of seeing "White Only" and "Colored Only" waiting rooms, bathroom and water fountains. I never thought that would ever happen again. I hope I'm wrong, but I fear not.
you're wrong .. again ..

So Trump intends to try to dismantle the Civil Rights Act of 1964, yet in the EO he issued to erase anything perceived to be affiliated with any diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives or programs, his pretext alleged reason for doing so is because he and his minions have proclaimed DEI to be a violation of the very same Civil Rights Act of 1964.

So in other words, he's trying to gut the very law that he's alleging is being violated, or rather to state things more accurately, he's trying to gut the CRA WHEN he perceives it to benefit Black people, yet relies on it and alleges it's being violated in order to use it to benefit white people, meritocracy realistically having nothing to do with it.

I knew it was coming. Pitiful.
MAGA's voted for a racist. MAGA's are racist. See how that goes.
I didn't think he'd take this route simply because executive orders cannot create new laws nor rescind existing laws. At least not at the federal level to my understanding and the CRA of 1964 is federal legislation.

That's also why the EEOC is still there although they have a new mission statement.

racial discrimination in employment and education is not a civil right
it is the opposite
There is no racial discrimination in employment & education unless you're referring to what always has been - against members of the EEO protected classes. And don't forget, this includes veterans and disabled citizens among others.

There is no statistical, historical, or legal basis for the claim that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 now “discriminates” against white males or has upended a supposed national meritocracy. The Act was—and remains—a necessary corrective to persistent systemic bias. Calls to dismantle it are not about fairness or data, but about preserving existing privilege under the false pretense of “merit.”

Hi Mariyam,
This is project 2025. Remember Trump said "“I have nothing to do with Project 2025,” Trump said in the ABC News Presidential Debate. “I haven’t read it. I don’t want to read it purposely. I’m not going to read it.”

Nah, the EO in your link will not harm the Civil Rights Act.

In fact, no President in my life time has enforced the Civil Rights Act as much as Trump, he's taking on places like Harvard, and Columbia head on with their clear violations of it

The Radical Left does not believe that everyone has the same Civil Rights.
They demand racial discrimination in employment and education.

No it is the racist right that rejects the idea that everyone has the same Civil Rights.

Which is why the Civil Rights Act was passed in the first place.
