The FDA is not stupid. There was absolutely a profit motive for Big Pharma in Cannabis to be declared a Schedule 1 narcotic and Fentanyl a Schedule 2 narcotic and KEPT THAT WAY for over 50 years. The pain killing aspects of Cannabis has been known for years. And the hundreds of thousands of deaths due to Fentanyl has also been known for years.

He realizes that a large and growing number of the American people like to get loaded on grass, as a result, a continued prohibition doesn't make much sense.
