Journalism in America has disintegrated, largely today America's media are advertising whores their primary objective is to sell advertising, for them it is about doing news pieces which capture the viewers attention principles of journalism like promoting what is good and selecting issues that make America's citizens better citizens don't matter. Consider the last two weeks the country has this bill which will have a major impact on inflation, the Inflation Reduction Act, and what does the American people get bombard with all about the FBI's execution of a warrant on Mar-a- Lago. Granted politically it was not the best call but legally it was completely sound and it doesn't warrant the media's obsession with it; the media should have had reports from experts that if they were good would have said this bill will drive up fossil fuel prices and create an abundance of federal government slush funds all which will fuel inflation and cause the Federal Reserve board to raise the Fed Funds rate significantly higher than they would have which will send us into a severe recession next year. The media should have focused on several other serious flaws in the bill. Really the media could have educated the American public to have stopped passage of this disastrous bill. If Donald Trump keeps his hat in the ring for the Presidency the media will do this again and again they will focus on Trump personally and neglect the issues!

Not only if Donald Trump cares about the country but also his Party, the Republicans, he will declare after the mid-terms he won't run again. If the merits of the issues and the economy operates in a normal manner in 2023 America will go into a deep recession brought about by the FED who will have had no choice but to jack up interest rates steeply and the American people will justly blame the Democrats because all this could have been avoided if they just acted as good stewards of the economy; and the America people will be eager to return the Republicans to full power in Washington come 2024 because of the economy! If Donald Trump runs then he will cloud the campaign the race will be about Trump and not about the issues, he will probably still win but his coattails won't be as big his majorities in the Senate and the House won't be as big and that will diminish what he and the Republicans can accomplish with legislation which will cost America!

He should stand down because he can’t win. if he does run, and somehow gets the GOP nomination, then Biden or whatever other lame candidate the Dems run will be the next president. There are Trump followers on here who post, who have proclaimed that if they can not get him the GOP nomination, they would rather watch the country fall apart then vote for someone else. That is just crazy cakes. The only thing that MIGHT change their mind is if he announces he will not run, and even then it is debatable.

Many on this forum and in this thread have rightfully stated that they do not want the Democrats and media choosing who we run. That point is well taken. But in fairness, no matter how the crooked Dems got him out of office in 2020, Trumps time has passed through no fault of his own.
