trump says there's "no price tag" for deportation.

Most of them pay taxes and get nothing in return.

That is, they pay for your EBT and welfare.
A new study shows that undocumented immigrants paid nearly $100 billion in federal, state and local tax revenue in 2022 while many are shut out of the programs their taxes fund. The findings run counter to anti-immigrant rhetoric that undocumented immigrants are “destroying” social programs.

In 40 states, undocumented immigrants paid higher tax rates than the top 1% of the income scale in those states, according to a study released Tuesday from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, a left-leaning, nonprofit think tank.

The study, which uses estimates of undocumented immigrants’ tax contributions as of 2022, shows those totaled $96.7 billion that year. Study authors also found that undocumented immigrants would contribute $40.2 billion more per year in federal, state and local taxes if all of the undocumented population had access to work authorization. The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy reasoned that this boost would come from higher wages associated with employment authorization and easier compliance with income tax laws.

The answer is simple "it will cost us far less a year to deport them than it will cost the taxpayer each year to have them here". Full stop.

As an added bonus, once they are gone and Remain In Mexico is applied, the costs for the existing illegals until they are deported will be less as the denominator will keep decreasing.

Instead of the media complaining about the costs to deport, they should be asking why in the hell your border is open.

If Martha Vineyard accepts and houses just 10,000 illegals than the rest of the media bubble dwellers can speak for all of America who just voted for the mass deportation. They couldn't even handle a couple of handfuls before they were quietly sent on their way "not in my backyard!" they whispered to one another in hushed tones.
Please show me a source that agrees with you about the costs and timescales.

That's a good research project for you.
No need, I'm not nearly concerned enough about the cost. Removing the illegal hordes will pay for itself in time. The silly whining of the cost of deportations while not bothering to mention the costs on keeping them here tells it's own story.

Bullshit.

Even though illegal immigrants make up about 4.5% of the labor force, their payments represent less than 1% of the taxes collected from these sources.

The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers

"At the federal, state, and local levels, taxpayers shell out approximately $182 billion to cover the costs
incurred by the presence of more than 15.5 million illegal aliens, and about 5.3 million citizen children
of illegal aliens. That amounts to a tax burden of approximately $8,730 per illegal alien family member.
These figures are before taxes paid by illegal aliens are factored in. The totals with taxes factored in are
as follows:

Total Expenditures:
Total Federal Expenditures $66,449,136,000
Total State and Local Expenditures $115,608,729,000
Total National Expenditures $182,057,865,000

Net Tax Contributions:
Net Federal Taxes Paid $16,219,495,000
Net State and Local Taxes Paid $15,172,140,000
Total Net Tax Contributions $31,391,635,000

Total Cost of Illegal Immigration:
Total National Expenditures $182,057,865,000
Minus Total Tax Contributions $31,391,635,000
Total Fiscal Cost of Illegal Immigration on U.S. Taxpayers: $150,666,230,000"

Yes, it is a non-starter, it is that ridiculous that all he can hope to do is a few token details and deport a few thousand people and then hope his MAGATS forget the promise, which of course they always do.
He learned long ago they don't hold him accountable for broken promises..............or anything really. Including an insurrection.

No need, I'm not nearly concerned enough about the cost. Removing the illegal hordes will pay for itself in time. The silly whining of the cost of deportations while not bothering to mention the costs on keeping them here tells it's own story.
As I said, embarking upon a project without knowing the costs is the hallmark of a con-man...ohh wait...

The solution being to let them come out of the shadows.

Do they? Where? I'm sure the administration would love to know.
Yes, painters, handymen, cleaners, gardeners, self employed in many capacities mostly hard working decent people, I've met many out here in Arizona and they are just part of the fabric. Other than the language barrier I've had much better service and reliability from them than local "Murcans" who don't turn up, have a sense of entitlement and cost a lot more.

Out here a huge number are Mormons too, decent people who would do no harm, families and kind, been to a few parties too very nice warn people.

"We obviously have to make the border strong and powerful and, and we have to — at the same time, we want people to come into our country," he said. "And you know, I’m not somebody that says, 'No, you can’t come in.' We want people to come in."

As a candidate, Trump had repeatedly vowed to carry out the "largest deportation effort in American history." Asked about the cost of his plan, he said, "It’s not a question of a price tag. It’s not — really, we have no choice. When people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries, and now they’re going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here. There is no price tag."

And yet there is a price tag. Not only for the economy (removing that many workers is inflationary because it will drive up the price of labor. Plus it will reduce GDP), but for the government.

How much could it cost?

Vice President-elect JD Vance has estimated Trump's actions could result in 1 million people being removed from the country each year, a pace the nonpartisan American Immigration Council estimated would cost about $88 billion annually. To deport all the people in the U.S. without authorization would take about a decade and cost nearly a trillion dollars, the council said.

I guess the thrill he got from hearing the screams of immigrant children after being separated from their parents wasn't quite satisfying enough. Now he'll be breaking up families who have lived here, yes illegally, for many years. I personally know someone here in CO who is married to an illegal alien. That marriage is over if the ACLU isn't able to stop Don in the courts.

OMG, you clowns let them in illegally, and now insist it is awful to send them back. Get a life, get a grip, and if you can't, get the HELL out of the USA!

As I said, embarking upon a project without knowing the costs is the hallmark of a con-man...ohh wait...
It is a game of risk and rewards. The risk is worth the reward. At least, that's what the American people voted for. Time to do their bidding.

You are right, President Trump should round up every murderous illegal and just put them in your yard, so you can deal with them.

$150B a year. With so many more in your country illegally now it costs FAR more I'm sure.

How Much Do Illegal Immigrants Cost the U.S.

An ongoing border crisis that saw 5,000 illegal aliens being released into the United States per day in December of last year is a microcosm of a much larger issue as President Joe Biden aims to recapture the White House in a crucial election year.

The issue is a $150.7 billion one, shared between federal and state governments, and that's just one year.

Since the inauguration of President Biden on January 20, 2021, over 3.3 million illegal immigrants have been released into the U.S., according to the Committee on the Judiciary and Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement, which is costing taxpayers billions at the federal and state levels.

Most of them work.
Maybe most of them do work, at the jobs they have stolen from your friends and neighbors by working at grossly reduced wages with little or no benefits. These illegals, you love so much have already destroyed the wages within the construction industry, what's next? Your precious illegals also send BILLIONS of US dollars back to Mexico which harms our own economy. Also, those that don't work are living off the backs of our legal, tax-paying citizens. People like you are clueless and a danger to our future.

Jobs that used to support Americans. No need to worry, Americans will do them again.

Risk? Trump can't even spell the word, he has no management skills, a total conman circus clown, anyway you voted for him, good luck to ya.
