Yanukovych was a Russian puppet. This was a fact known to EVERYONE.
The Ukrainian people wanted closer ties to the EU, including an association agreement which the Ukrainian parliament had overwhelmingly approved.
The puppet, under direction from Putin, refused to sign the agreement and the free trade agreement.
At this point, the people had had enough.
This was not something spontaneous, and it was not some kind of "coup" arranged by the West.
You see, in 2004, Yanukovych won the presidency for the first time. However, their Supreme Court found the election had been rigged and ordered a do-over.
So that was strike one against the asshole.
During the subsequent free and fair election Yanukovych was defeated in what was called the Orange Revolution.
In 2010, Yushchenko took another bite of the apple and won the presidency fairly against the gorgeous Julia Tymoshenko
However, as a Putin wannabe, Yushchenko began suppressing the free press and appointing completely unqualified cronies to positions of power.
Sound familiar?
What's more, Yushchenko jailed his political opponent, Julia Tymoshenko.
"Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up!"
Yushchenko achieved what Trump could only dream of achieving. And both look to Putin for a role model.
So that was strike two for the asshole.

Then, Yushchenko went against the will of the people and the Parliament and refused to sign agreements which would bring Ukraine closer to the EU.
Strike three.
Putin and his stateside propagandists depend on you useful idiots not having followed all these events.
The only thing that happens when a Dem is in the White House is escalation of war with Russia.
Obama supported a coup and civil war in Ukraine on Russia’s borders.
Biden pushed Ukraine towards NATO knowing it would trigger the Russians and cause a war.
He was elected. That is a fact.
But you lefties don’t like his politics so you just call him a “Russian puppet” and therefore justify an insurrection and a coup.
If the Ukrainian people wanted closer relations to the EU, all they had to do was wait until the next election and vote in a leader to do just that.
But you don’t believe in actual democracy, you defend insurrections and coups to overthrow an elected democracy. Pretty ironic, eh?

They agreed to lease naval bases to Russia.
Crimea was given to Ukraine free and clear.

In fact, the Ukrainian parliament does not certify elections during martial law.
It's in their Constitution, comrade.

The weird thing is that he seemed to think he had some sorta control over Putin, when all the evidence points to the control going the other way.I thought the exact same thing when I read that a couple days ago.
I've been warning the cult for years that Trump is madly in love with Putin, and I have pointed out they cannot find a single example of him saying anything critical about Putin, and, in fact, he praised Putin when the mass-murdering KGB thug invaded Ukraine.
This is the same thin-skinned tard who will rage tweet for weeks over a celebrity who has hurt his feelings.
