"Trump says US will 'run Venezuela' after President Nicolas Maduro captured"

"Donald Trump has said the US is going to "run" Venezuela to clear the way for a "safe, proper and judicious" transition of power after Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was captured in a US raid."

"“We're going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition,” Trump said at a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where he boasted that “no nation in the world could achieve what America achieved”."

"Trump did not rule out the possibility of further US military involvement to help shape Venezuela's future, telling reporters in Florida: “We’re not afraid of boots in the ground.”"

Essentially Trump says US oil companies will be making loads of money "for Venezuela", but you can bet that it'll be for themselves.

However, the US does not control Venezuela. It's still being run by the same party, same system.

So, in order to run it, Trump has to invade. Which will be a lot harder than kidnapping someone. Especially in a jungle country with Chinese weapons and money.

Its a figure of speech partly. You should know how Trump talks by now, but really It will be a mixture of them governing themselves with our help until they are stable.

How? The US does not control Venezuela. The leader has gone. Did the US fall apart when Biden was replaced by Trump? Nope. Why would Venezuela fall apart? It might. But it hasn't yet.

Super bad. They bombed Libya with the French and British, Gadaffi was killed, and then the US disappeared and let warring factions fight it out.
What were you saying at the time though?

For the sake of time at the moment... Im goinhg to copy and paste the quick A.I. view of the state of Venezuelas current situation for you.... and you tell me if they have the need for outside intervention...

"Venezuela's government, under Nicolás Maduro, ran as an authoritarian socialist regime marked by severe corruption, human rights abuses, economic collapse (despite oil wealth), and dismantling democratic institutions, relying on cronyism and paramilitary groups (colectivos) to maintain power amidst international condemnation and massive migration. The government controlled key sectors, enriching elites through alleged narco-trafficking while failing to provide basic services, leading to widespread poverty and instability. "

Yes, they have no basic services and rampant with crime... and the entire government directly under Maduro were on the TAKE.. thats why they were allowed to be around.

A system of accountability needs to be set up at least.

There is an oppressed opposition party there. I’m sure they can take care of it.

The US has a long history of installing “new governments”.

In this instance I don't think much is going to be necessary except for some advisors.

Not sure what you wrote, or copied, answers my question.

The US does not control Venezuela. The government is still in place, just with a different leader, who had been VP since 2018, so she clearly agrees with Maduro. Chances she'll roll over?

Yes, things change, deals change, people might see an opening. But the armed forces will probably carry on as before. Why? Because they know if the US takes over, their easy life is over.

Trump thinks he can run Venezuela by tweet.
Naw, trump clearly needs to hold an in-person meeting with the Venezuelans in Venezuela.
Show 'em face to face that trump is the Boss.

Your response to it
What kind of thing are you looking for?

The British and French pushed it (both right wing govts at the time) and Obama went along with it. It was part of the war on OPEC that Dubya started and Trump is continuing.

It happened, like Iraq happened.

Well yeah , she's a thug too.. on the take. Guess we will see, but I sure am not privy to whatever info Trump has.

But we do know this... Maduro lost the election by a landslide and then took over office. THE V.P. is part of that cabal.
