Trump says he'll be running Venezuela. How?

At least Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez, the new acting President said so. I have no reasons not to believe her.
Here's a reason not to believe something just because she says it. She has an interest in keeping Trump and his cronies happy.

The irony is he wants to build infrastructure and build up Venezuela all while cutting and destroying our ability to do the same in our own ******* country. You can't make this shit up!
He wants to let Exon take their operation back that was stolen by Maduro, and begin drilling oil like they used to. Exon will pay the costs, not US tax payers. :dunno:

She better. First we have to see if she even makes it back from the Soviet... erm... Russia.

Problem is, the same people are still in charge.

The current acting president is from a family of Marxists. You think she's just going to roll over?
Thats where drone strikes come into play. You kill just ONE politician with a drone and EVERYONE will fall in line.

"Trump says US will 'run Venezuela' after President Nicolas Maduro captured"

"Donald Trump has said the US is going to "run" Venezuela to clear the way for a "safe, proper and judicious" transition of power after Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was captured in a US raid."

"“We're going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition,” Trump said at a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where he boasted that “no nation in the world could achieve what America achieved”."

"Trump did not rule out the possibility of further US military involvement to help shape Venezuela's future, telling reporters in Florida: “We’re not afraid of boots in the ground.”"

Essentially Trump says US oil companies will be making loads of money "for Venezuela", but you can bet that it'll be for themselves.

However, the US does not control Venezuela. It's still being run by the same party, same system.

So, in order to run it, Trump has to invade. Which will be a lot harder than kidnapping someone. Especially in a jungle country with Chinese weapons and money.

How? That's for him to know and you to find out.

Gee, you leftists are always "finding out." 2026 is the year of leftists "finding out." :laughing0301:

Not sure what you wrote, or copied, answers my question.

The US does not control Venezuela. The government is still in place, just with a different leader, who had been VP since 2018, so she clearly agrees with Maduro. Chances she'll roll over?

Yes, things change, deals change, people might see an opening. But the armed forces will probably carry on as before. Why? Because they know if the US takes over, their easy life is over.

"Easy life"? Are you ******* serious? :laughing0301:

"Estimates of deaths directly attributed to the administration of Nicolás Maduro since he took power in 2013 vary widely, with major human rights organizations and United Nations reports citing thousands of victims due to extrajudicial killings, violent protest crackdowns, and torture..

Key Data on Death Tolls:
  • Extrajudicial Killings (2016–2019): Human Rights Watch and the UN reported that security forces killed nearly 18,000 to 19,000 people in cases officially classified as "resistance to authority" between 2016 and 2019, many of which are believed to be extrajudicial executions.
  • Special Action Forces (FAES) (2018–2019): A UN report stated that government forces, particularly the FAES, killed at least 6,854 people in 2018 and the first five months of 2019.
  • Protest Related Deaths: In 2017, violent clashes during anti-government protests resulted in at least 125 to 165 deaths. Following the disputed July 2024 election, at least 24 to 25 people were killed in a subsequent crackdown.
  • Humanitarian Crisis: Beyond direct violence, the collapse of the healthcare system and economic hardship under Maduro's rule have contributed to widespread mortality, with some estimates suggesting a significantly higher indirect death toll.
Reports also indicate that security forces have tortured and killed political prisoners while in custody."

If you can't make that shit up, why did you just make that shit up?

How has President Trump cut and destroyed your ability to build infrastructure and and build up America? That's just plain retarded.

Including the river of life, Imperialists a
But not before first destroying all the real progress and even infrastructure Qaddafi put in place for the betterment of the people
Including the river of life, Imperialists and Colonialists don't want these Countries to advance they want then to live with their faces in the dirt and be dependent on them.

The VP is believed to be in Russia according to Fox.
Those who resist US efforts will be removed.

I suspect the fix is in with the Venezuelan VP. I also suspect there was no CIA informant... only her.

Well someone betrayed Maduro, time will tell if that was her or someone else, it looks to me like Venezuelan air defences were stood down and other forces, but there are tens of thousands of pro Maduro Militia armed, so how is the mad Dog going to control them who will be hell bent on killing any American and their Collaborators they can get their hands on.

Its a figure of speech partly. You should know how Trump talks by now, but really It will be a mixture of them governing themselves with our help until they are stable.
How many decades until they are stable?

He says the new President Delcy Rodríguez "will do whatever we need... and she doesn't really have a choice." (yesterday's statement) (today's statement)

Boots on the ground won't be very popular, but if Trump can somehow facilitate the rebuilding of Venezuela's oil production, the sustained low gas prices will be.
